Yes, I agree with this comment. Having restrictions could make it less easy for those with psychological issues or a criminal history to access firearms. Not fully banning them, just making them more regulated to lower the chances of dangerous individuals obtaining them.

 @BD276D3 from North Carolina  agreed…2mos2MO

The comment's assertion that psychological sereenings can "easily prevent abuse of gun usage" is an oversimplification of a complex issue, and such measures may infringe on civil iberties without guaranteeing prevention of mass atrocities.

 @BCXGH4T from Louisiana  agreed…2mos2MO

I do agree with this comment. People that may struggle with psychological issues should not be trusted with a gun. Also if there is not good regulations when purchasing a gun, then it makes it easier for school shootings and other tragedies to occur.

 @BCX6D6H from Pennsylvania  agreed…2mos2MO

Yes it allows for people who own a gun know right from wrong on how to safely and properly use a gun.

 @BCXGSD6 from Alabama  agreed…2mos2MO

yes it is very important because a lot of people shouldn't even own a gun because of their mental and psychological well being.

 @BCXFBWB from Alabama  agreed…2mos2MO

There is a blind eye for gun control, any kind of test or way to make it harder to get a hold of one will help lower down shootings.

 @BCYWZZ5 from Virginia  agreed…2mos2MO

Yes, its important to have more control on people that buy guns be more strict, to be safe knowing not every people can have a gun.

 @BCXJC53  from Maryland  agreed…2mos2MO

I agree with this statement, when dealing with lethal weapons it is imperative that regulations are in place to prevent mass death.

 @BCZRWFM from Kansas  agreed…2mos2MO

Yes, test for background, records. Give a view of what a person has usually done and possibly do again.

 @BCXGKRJ from Utah  agreed…2mos2MO

So many people have died from gun violence or have been victims and it is way too easy for people to get guns right now.

 @BCXJFG5No Labels from Georgia  agreed…2mos2MO

I agree with this statement because many of the tragedies from the lack of restrictions on guns have been products of the offender's mental and psychological mind, with signs of unstable thinking or actions that are usually brushed off.

 @BCXJ283 from Wisconsin  agreed…2mos2MO

I agree with this comment on guns due to the danger of guns, it could help reduce the danger to other civilians.

 @BCXD4T4Democrat from California  agreed…2mos2MO

I agree with this comment on gun control. Firearms are dangerous weapons and when used responsible by those who pass regulation they can save lives however in the hand of the wrong individuals they can end the lives of hundred at a time.

 @BCX9MTJ from Texas  agreed…2mos2MO

i think restrictions to a certain amount is a good idea, i dont want the whole world to know what i do with my stuff but i defiantly think restrictions are a must

 @BCX6CNM  from Michigan  agreed…2mos2MO

Yes, this is true. Gaining and maintaining a gun license should require training, much like gaining and maintaining a drivers license requires training

 @BCXFBZ2 from Georgia  agreed…2mos2MO

People should still be allowed to buy guns but make it harder to obtain guns by needing a picture and ID when purchasing doing paper work and much more as well as trying to get guns off the street.

 @BCXBWRX from Missouri  agreed…2mos2MO

I think it is important to have gun restrictions. I think there should be a check for a history of violence or any crime. If someone has either of those they should not be able to buy a gun.

 @BCXJFCGPeace and Freedom from Georgia  agreed…2mos2MO

yes, because people are bringing them to schools and other places to kill people who don't deserve to be killed. It is different if you have a firearm for safety in a house but you shouldn't have one for other reasons.

 @BCXHFZB from California  agreed…2mos2MO

Yes it is still important to have restriction on guns to prevent mass atrocities because there is a lot of gun violence and the ideas of certain policies like background checks , safe storage laws and limiting who can and cant legally buy firearms.

 @BCXDTRV from Arkansas  agreed…2mos2MO

with gun control we already have back ground checks but they should have to take consealed carey classes for some

 @BCXJZVY from Florida  disagreed…2mos2MO

Yes, as the second amendment states we have the right to bear arms. I do agree we should do somthing about abuse in our nation.

 @BCZ5K58 from Connecticut  disagreed…2mos2MO

Implementing mandatory screenings can perpetuate harmful stereotypes, incorrectly linking all mental health struggles with violence. This fear of losing constitutional rights may deter individuals from seeking necessary care, ultimately worsening mental health outcomes.

 @BCXLH2N from California  disagreed…2mos2MO

this argument to support guns is somewhat helpful doing those things would make it safer but its not gonna stop them they can illegally buy the gun and have no trace of buying it.

 @BCX6ZY6 from Delaware  agreed…2mos2MO

Although I believe in keeping up with mental health they have been proven to not always be correct and giving even one wrong diagnosis can do more harm than good. honestly guns should be illegal to handle around schools and trained security should defend children from those who wish to harm them even if they are from outside or inside the school.

 @BCX682Y from Alabama  agreed…2mos2MO

I agree because if you make it easy for everyone to have guns then crimes and mass crowd killings will increase.

 @BCX8LDF from Illinois  agreed…2mos2MO

Yes, it is still important to have restrictions on guns to prevent mass atrocities for the safety of citizen and the people.

 @BCX6XPSPeace and Freedom  from Michigan  agreed…2mos2MO

Yes. Simply, yes. There, in fact, should be MORE training required for gun licenses, much like drivers licenses.

 @BCX68W9 from Arkansas  agreed…2mos2MO

I agree with this but I think we could go even further to completely banning guns all together. This has been successfully done in Australia.

 @BCXKF6PDemocrat from Iowa  agreed…2mos2MO

I agree, but i also think when purchasing a gun they person should have yearly mental checks to make sure that they are mentally capable of owning and housing a gun without the risk of harming themselves and others

 @BCX626ZNo Labels from North Carolina  agreed…2mos2MO

I agree because because not everyone should own a gun, because other people with use it for bad things.

 @BCXMWVFDemocrat from Washington  agreed…2mos2MO

I one hundred percent agree gun laws need to be stricter and should have more test to make sure someone is responsible for a gun especially with its danger and mortality rate

 @BCXL4L2Democrat from Texas  agreed…2mos2MO

I agree, I think that everyone should have the right to own a gun, but not necessarily the ability to own one. This would prevent things like people with mental disorders, or a history of violence from obtaining a firearm.

 @BCXKQKX from Texas  agreed…2mos2MO

I agree with this because a lot of times when there is a mass atrocity involving a gun, the person who caused it isn't in a good head space.
