This is what happens when the US tries to police the world—alliances shift and blow back is inevitable. Maybe it’s time for America to mind its own business and let other countries sort out their own affairs.

It’s about time the US explores alliances beyond the usual status quo. If the old guard is upset, maybe that means real change is possible. Prioritizing diplomacy over endless military support could be a step toward a more peaceful Middle East.
