“Not really. I would prefer an immigration overhaul that makes application for temporary visas or citizenship easier for most people. Most immigrants illegally crossing the border are just trying to make a better life for themselves, and while I disapprove of the illegality, I understand why most of them have resorted to it. If we made it easier to get in legally, fewer would do it illegally. I have no problem protecting the borders from violent offenders, however.”
