“Yes, but certain goods should not be taxed while others not taxed at the new higher rate. Food/produce that is not ready made should not be taxed. This includes meets produce, fish, grains, pasta that requires preparation to make. Pre-packaged foods that are ready to eat after heating up should be taxed. Foods high in preservatives should be taxed. Salt over a certain concentration should be treated as a preservative and not a food ingredient.”
