“My problem here is that I don't know the real reason we support them so strongly now. To the extent we need an allied presence in that area of the world we need to support them. But if we were energy independent we should need them less. To the extent we support them because of the religious connection to the majority of Americans we should drop all support. Their religion is no more right than that of the Palestinians or that of the typical American.”
