When times are tough and when children are born into families with no plan or guidance they are doomed to struggle well into their 20s in more than enough cases. Taxes on the rich funds the nations coffers so that we have schools and a military to defend all we have. Evens out the equality gap a little bit more and gives a chance and hope for those unable to be able, taxes is a nod to the nation as a whole. It starts with education, but when you are busy working most your days its hard to achieve accredited education in a reasonable time in order to not have aback breaking job all your life. Kept to studies well and with set goals it'd be fair to assume most can achieve a middle class career by their 30s if they start in their early 20s or right out of high school. That all changes massively if you add children into the mix, their cost of living is much higher but subsidized by government assistance helps tremendously especially when both parents are working and worrying about day care.

I wonder what environment you were brought up in and what makes you think higher taxes on the rich is not justifiable enough at the current %37 of 578,126 and up. You could say im a socialist because id rather see everyone in my town raised in a reliable house instead of small cramped trailers or unmaintained houses without reliable heating, while the rich guy attends parties and races instead of helping those homeless and addicted people into safe, reliable, and well managed housing projects at the very least. I know for a fact its much worse off for the low income and impoverished in the more southern states and im lucky to have been raised in this more stable and entitled state. But it could always be better, im just tired of seeing kids being raised by mentally unstable and unfit parents all around and I think that being more economically stable could give the next generation of alcoholic parents a chance to do better than their predecessors and contribute to bettering the world around them. Not to rag on all rich folk many do donate to chairties and create business that ultimately benefit us all but the for sure fact is when the money is %100 accountable to the people we all know where the money is invested and hopefully is controlled and directed by competent government workers which are held responsible by the whole population.

My mother lied about dependents on some tax forms when i was little and I was moved to foster care or my grandparents by that time. She as a example absolutely took advantage of the government but that always means we need more investigation of claims like that and alos shows that through all of that no government worker though to talk to social services or inquire if her children in fact lived with and depended on her. She only used that for her own gain and goes to show how twisted some people think and how shameless humans can be given certain circumstances. Its absolutely sad when you know those funds could have went to a real child that was living and dependent on their parent. I've seen it buddy, i understand some, i hope that you may too and show a little more understanding for those disadvantaged and of those you may not have sought to understand. It all starts with communication and education, when that breaks down we have no other option than to fight which we've hopefully learned after hundreds of wars and two world wars. Lets lend helping hands, not spiteful and unproductive comments.

I understand most of this comes down to we are a young nation and are still developing in mostly the midwest and south but that cannot stop vision of a better and functional society and will not stop any of us american dreamers. Just carry on and seek education, its the best thing we all can do for ourselves and the nation. Please comment back i'd like some perspective, for example im not so well educated in economics, if anyone has some professional insight id love to hear.
