Decrease military spending by not giving our money away to non-Democratic countries
@4KBRM54 5mos5MO
Audits should be made to review military spending and any waste or inefficiencies be removed or ended.
@9YNMPSN 10mos10MO
Increase if our soldiers need a cost of living increase. If our equipment needs to be upgraded the. Do that but be responsible
@964KCV7 1yr1Y
Our current spending *should* be more than sufficient. Waste needs to be eliminated and more efficient lifecycle/sustainment practices need to be implemented by both the DoD, contractors, and the acquisition programs to maintain a competitive edge.
@CurvyletterConstitution 1yr1Y
Increase, or maintain it to ensure readiness and deterrence concerning recent geopolitical developments
@9BC59TL 1yr1Y
Other country spends less on their military than we do we need to definitely decrease military spending.
@9JGBF6J2yrs2Y
Homeland military spending should be increased but foreign military spending should be drastically reduced.
@9JFTPN52yrs2Y
U.S. should only have a defensive military. We don’t need to fight innocent Arabs in the Middle East for some Jews in Israel.
@9HRD7WFRepublican2yrs2Y
Neither, I am satisfied with the current amount of spending. Although, if the U.S were to be dragged into World War 3 or just any sort of war, we should increase our military spending.
@8RNQY3X4yrs4Y
We should not interfere in other counties But at this point we should just be able to defend ourselves
@96FVC2Q3yrs3Y
We need to evaluate current spending first
@93QT6C53yrs3Y
@93MJVVF3yrs3Y
Either, so long as the money trail is both shown publicly for American records as well as proof said funding was used for what it was documented down as.
@92TP99J3yrs3Y
Decrease overseas military spending and increase domestic spending
@92MQ6X93yrs3Y
Increase only to maintain appropriate inventory.
@924MTX43yrs3Y
our military should be capable to defend the uS and it's allies from any threat, but money should be spent wisely, no waste !
@8Y6LSVJ4yrs4Y
Maybe not - the Gov’t should spend its monies on STEM and funding NASA, or the Arts, though.
@8Y5G6XS4yrs4Y
Decrease, because the military does not reflect the values of the American people.
@8XT6VDP4yrs4Y
Quit wasting money, spend more to protect Americans.
@8TH6D684yrs4Y
Neither, but needless programs and equipment needed to be stopped and more focus on military members and their war fighting capabilities.
@8TB798W4yrs4Y
Regardless, the government's military focus should be on protecting it's citizens from foreign aggression.
@8TBLN5K4yrs4Y
Decrease, but only by way of removing troops from countries and regions we have absolutely no business being in.
@8SQKFCM4yrs4Y
Spend on parts that arnt needed and find more cost effective ways
@8SLZY3H4yrs4Y
Just stop defending the whole world and spend all the money actually defending America.
@8SHLVHD4yrs4Y
Yes, if it becomes better allocated to domestic defense and not global deployments and international conflicts.
@8RTRR9N4yrs4Y
I don't like commies and I want my military forces to do something to eradicate them in communist Russia and China.
Military spending should be allocated more efficiently, and costs should be reduced. For every dollar spent, only a few directly benifit the Military or it's members. Most of it benifits contractors and politicians.
@8QCBF655yrs5Y
Increase, only if the country is provoked into a war
@8QB6ZGJ5yrs5Y
It should fit the objectives of the people
@8NVMHCY5yrs5Y
Voluntary private military
@8LN2LXW5yrs5Y
There is room to decrease, but the real issue is how it controls budgets on a micro scale. For example if a particular group in the Navy (I am former Navy) came in under budget then the next budget would automatically be reduced to that number instead of slowly shifting. The lead to many times a scramble to spend money in order to be “on budget” and thus not lose money for real repairs that are necessary.
@8C98VCQRepublican5yrs5Y
First need to audit any waste and stop social programming and focus on military readiness only and only then if money needs to be increased do it.
@ORYGUNGUYLibertarian2yrs2Y
With the President we have we need to very closely watch military issues...no increase right now.
@TruthHurts1012yrs2Y
Increase -- China is on the march and is going to roll into America with tanks at any given moment, looking to punch on the senile "leader" of the free world! We need a military to defend our rights and defend our shore from the fearsome RED DRAGON! But obviously, almost everything else the government spends money on, being unconstitutional, needs to be abolished as well. I am by no means advocating more debt and spending!
While it's true that China's military strength is a concern, it's important to consider that increasing military spending isn't the only solution. For instance, investing in diplomacy and international relations can foster cooperation and peaceful resolutions, reducing the need for a massive military buildup. Additionally, focusing on domestic issues like education, healthcare, and infrastructure could create a stronger nation, better equipped to handle external threats. Can you think of alternative solutions that would address the concern of potential aggression without necessarily increasing military spending?
@9BYHRVG2yrs2Y
You're sounding an awful lot like Prime Minister Neville Chamberlain did during the Appeasement Crisis leading up to World War II. China is pure evil, it will not compromise with us so we cannot compromise with it. The only way to get it to behave is to show them we have brute force, and, if necessary, to use it.
While it's interesting to draw parallels between the current situation with China and the historical appeasement crisis, it's important to note that the world has changed drastically since World War II. Today, the global economy is more interconnected, and nations rely on each other for trade and resources. Rather than simply viewing China as a monolithic "evil," it's worth considering the nuances of their motivations and international relationships.
For instance, consider the U.S.-Soviet Union relationship during the Cold War. Despite the ideological differences and… Read more

While it's understandable to be concerned about potential threats, it's important to consider the effectiveness and efficiency of military spending. For instance, investing in diplomacy and international collaboration could lead to more sustainable, long-term security solutions. A focus on education, healthcare, and infrastructure can also contribute to a stronger nation. What are your thoughts on redirecting a portion of military spending toward these areas to address both domestic and international challenges?
@RWM1999Republican2yrs2Y
Decrease, but there should be an optimal level of spending for a strong national defense
@99MVPHY3yrs3Y
No, we need to cut all spending until we eliminate our national debt.
@9974LVJLibertarian3yrs3Y
Reduce govt s spending via transitioning to privitized military
@98VNVK63yrs3Y
Decrease until we get our federal deficit down.
@9853MZL3yrs3Y
Neither as long as it's going to the US military and not foreign countries military.
@96R2R9Y3yrs3Y
Decrease and protect our borders
@8QT2KMXIndependent5yrs5Y
Either keep the current amount of spending And redirect funding to homeland security.
@BestPoliticsIN4yrs4Y
Temporarily decrease until we are put into a war that actually threatens our interests, then put slightly above the current spending
@BestPoliticsIN4yrs4Y
Decrease, temporarily until we are put into a war that actually threatens our interests (and get us out of all the wars we no longer need to interfere in)
@IINXMPRepublican5yrs5Y
Decrease, and begin signing contracts with more private militias and companies, as well as deploying the national guard.
@7KD4Z5Q4yrs4Y
Neither, reform military spending to be more efficient
Increase but not through taxes
