Decrease military spending overall, balance budget towards benefits instead of weapons and aircrafts

 @9WZDTCT from Massachusetts  answered…11mos11MO

We shouldn't have to worry so much as to spend more money on the military. What wars are happening directly to us and not our allies?

 @9RL2WLJ  from California  answered…1yr1Y

Neither, I am satisfied with the current amount of spending, only change after our deficit is reduced.

 @9GY4QQ8Women’s Equality from Virginia  answered…2yrs2Y

It’s not about increasing or decreasing the funding, it’s about making sure it’s going in the right places

 @84ZWD6LLibertarian  from Pennsylvania  answered…2yrs2Y

Decrease, like all agencies, the DoD needs to be audited to identify fraud, abuse, and wasteful spending. All money unaccounted for should be cut from the budget. The DoD needs to review all current contracts and renegotiate to end the price gouging and make sure contractors are responsible for cost overruns

 @9F7XPV2Democrat from North Carolina  answered…2yrs2Y

increase only when national security demands it... pay our troops more money ... eliminate wasteful projects.

 @84ZWD6LLibertarian from Pennsylvania  answered…2yrs2Y

Decrease, and the DoD needs to be audited yearly and bloated and wasteful projects need to be cut, and cost overruns needs to be paid by contractors

Streamline current spending and get rid of wasteful spending and only add funds accordingly. Budget better

 @95RSKFC from Washington  answered…3yrs3Y

Spending should be reduced by not allowing price gouging by contractors; service members should receive more funding

 @95DNFNL from Virginia  answered…3yrs3Y

Current spending needs to be streamlined. Determine what the military really needs and get rid of wasteful spending.

 @95BWT7D from Virginia  answered…3yrs3Y

Decrease, and pass legislation that caps military spending at 3% of GDP, with additional cuts every year the DoD fails an audit. Exceptions in time of war

 @93GGB2M from Massachusetts  answered…3yrs3Y

Streamline current spending and get rid of wasteful , misuse of funds. Only add to the budget accordingly.

 @93FPX54 from Pennsylvania  answered…3yrs3Y

Streamline current spending and get rid of wasteful spending. Add money only when a real need has been demonstrated.

 @936M36V from Massachusetts  answered…3yrs3Y

Get rid of wasteful spending and determine what the military really needs and budget better

 @92T5525Progressive from Pennsylvania  answered…3yrs3Y

We need to cut back on wasteful spending. Audits and regulations should be put in place to control how much money is actually needed.

Decrease, it should be lowered from $715,000,000,000 to $75,000,000,000 and that money should go to a UBI for food.

 @bigmackay98 from Minnesota  answered…4yrs4Y

military is over 50% of the US budget I'm not say to decrease drastically I'm just saying that if they had just 3- 5% less that could go to things that are underfunded or have less funds that would make a huge difference for those areas that don't have the money and need it. yes safety is extremely important so not a huge decrease just little to balance out the funds a little.

 @84ZWD6LLibertarian from Pennsylvania  answered…2yrs2Y

Decrease, and the DoD needs to be audited yearly and bloated and wasteful projects need to be cut, and cost overruns needs to be paid by contractors. More oversight is needed in contracts to avoid price gauging. Cut DoD budget by 15% every year they fail an audit

Increase, but the DoD needs to be audited yearly and bloated and wasteful projects need to be cut. Cap future budget increases at CPI, with the exception in wartime

Soft cap spending at 2.9% GDP. Spending over 2.9% GDP must go to additional increases to salaries and benefits for soldiers E-5/W-5 and below, and funding to the VA to improve healthcare during and after serving. Exceptions in wartime

 @84ZWD6LLibertarian from Pennsylvania  answered…3yrs3Y

Decrease, cap spending at 2.8% GDP. Spending over 2.8% GDP must go to soldiers salaries E-5/W-5 and below. Exceptions in wartime

 @84ZWD6LLibertarian from Pennsylvania  answered…3yrs3Y

Decrease, the DoD should receive enough money to increase pay and benefits of soldiers, train soldiers and officers, and maintain equipment and weapons, and upgrade equipment and weapons that are passed lifecycle. Exceptions in time of war

 @obnoxiously-moderate from Washington  answered…3yrs3Y

Decrease, but only after our deficit is drastically reduced while also claiming to have the most dominant military in the world.

 @@IamtherealandonlyOrionSommer from Washington D.C.  answered…3yrs3Y

Slash the military budget to the bone... reroute funds to be used for healthcare and other social programs that will benefit the people living here now.

 @97BD2R4 from New York  answered…3yrs3Y

Maintain or decrease levels of spending but make spending more efficient and audit the Pentagon.

 @GuitarLord25Socialist from Vermont  answered…3yrs3Y

We must prioritize quality over quantity when it comes to military spending so we are able to combat more pressing and complex national security threats such as cyber attacks, domestic terrorism, and pandemics.

 @84ZWD6LLibertarian from Pennsylvania  answered…3yrs3Y

Decrease, our military strategy needs to be changed and the budget should be adjusted accordingly. Cut the budget year to year until DoD can pass an audit
