Honestly, I totally get why these Democratic governors are done with the NGA. If the group isn’t willing to take a real stand against Trump’s attacks on democracy and state rights, what’s even the point of calling it "bipartisan"? Sometimes you have to draw a line when basic principles are at stake, even if it ruffles some feathers. It’s frustrating to see people blame the governors for “politicizing” things, when the real issue is enabling extremism by pretending everything’s normal.

Typical—Democrats can't handle not getting their way, so they throw a tantrum and walk out instead of working together like adults.

This is exactly why centralized, top-down groups like the NGA never work out—everyone’s just fighting for control and power instead of actually representing their states. Maybe if governors focused more on local autonomy and less on national party drama, things would run smoother.

It’s honestly disappointing to see even the National Governors Association getting caught up in the partisan drama. If both sides keep walking away whenever things get tough, how are they supposed to actually solve problems together? Feels like we’re losing one of the few spaces left for real bipartisan work.
