Audits should be made to review military spending and any waste or inefficiencies be removed or ended.

 @9WW5J58 from California  answered…11mos11MO

Military spending should stay where it is but only if the government is more transparent with its people about where the money is specifically going

 @9TX76LJ from Missouri  answered…12mos12MO

It could be increased, but only if other parts of the government where reduced or removed completely so as to avoid raising taxes.

 @9S52BN9 from Michigan  answered…1yr1Y

Why have an army these individuals didn't are sacrificing thier lives for a fight they didn't start all government officials need to be military

 @9BC59TL  from North Carolina  answered…1yr1Y

Other country spends less on their military than we do we need to definitely decrease military spending.

 @9JGBF6J from Colorado  answered…2yrs2Y

Homeland military spending should be increased but foreign military spending should be drastically reduced.

 @9J6CJSM from Nebraska  answered…2yrs2Y

We already spend more on the military and defense than the next 10 nations combined, most of whom are allies. ALL defense spending needs to stop and a moratorium put in place banning spending for either past pay for 10 years

 @9GCTW3F from Arizona  answered…2yrs2Y

We should be bolstering our military readiness here at home. We should not be providing other countries with our military equipment, we are headed towards WW3 and will not be prepared

 @9FBR3G8 from New York  answered…2yrs2Y

 @9DN4MML from California  answered…2yrs2Y

Only after a complete audit of where every penny of military spending goes

 @9D8VC92 from Texas  answered…2yrs2Y

I am in favor of smart spending. Cutting down on unnecessary programs while keeping what is necessary and strategic and increasing funding where it is realistically necessary.

 @9D8DC2GLibertarian from Texas  answered…2yrs2Y

The military industrial complex is spending far too much and there's excessive undocumented transactions. More accountability and transparency.

 @9D4XRNMRepublican from Illinois  answered…2yrs2Y

No increase in spending if it is to be used for inclusion and diversity training. It should only be used to defend the nation, not for social experiments.

 @8RNQY3X from Georgia  answered…5yrs5Y

We should not interfere in other counties But at this point we should just be able to defend ourselves

 @8FLMYS2 from Texas  answered…5yrs5Y

 @8FH7XG4 from New York  answered…5yrs5Y

The military needs to be strong, but we need to be more selective in how we police the world

 @6K5JPLNLibertarianfrom Illinois  answered…5yrs5Y

Decrease, Military spending should be reduced as much as possible without compromising national security

 @9BZCP7TLibertarian from Kentucky  answered…2yrs2Y

Decrease by pulling out of foreign conflicts and protecting our borders.

 @963TSJ9 from South Carolina  answered…3yrs3Y

Neither. The DoD needs to find a way to change the mindset of spend it all this year so we get it next year. Fiscal conservation is under utilized and a process should be explored to reward those DoD entities who spend less than their budget and project costs out 4+ years to avoid large budget bumps.

 @95THX3N from California  answered…3yrs3Y

 @95K6K94 from North Carolina  answered…3yrs3Y

Increase, but no extra funding should be provided for CRT training or medical support of transgender service members

 @953Z8X5 from Virginia  answered…3yrs3Y

Neither Increase or Decrease. Should Heavily reform and update management of funds.

 @942YMFPRepublican from New York  answered…3yrs3Y

I believe the spending could be done more efficiently, making it so combat troops are more effective on any potential battlefield.

 @93YNQ2M from Massachusetts  answered…3yrs3Y

 @93XMBVNRepublican from Arizona  answered…3yrs3Y

Increase only if we have competent leadership including the President and military leaders, which we currently do not have.

Stop wasting money on hi-tech equipment that fails. Stop wasting money on programs that take forever to work out the "bugs" in and become obsolete before being placed in front line service, then require more money to enhance. F-22/F-35 ring a bell?

 @92KDQGRRepublican from Florida  answered…3yrs3Y

 @9294DGFLibertarian from Tennessee  answered…3yrs3Y

Decrease. The military should only be used to protect against homeland invasion.

 @927RQNV from New Jersey  answered…3yrs3Y

Yes, but it should be used to increase the size of the military drastically instead of spending it all super expensive stuff that will slow down the growth of the military.

 @8ZNBK7HLibertarian from North Carolina  answered…4yrs4Y

The government should decrease military spending particularly into NATO.

 @8YGHG4M from Texas  answered…4yrs4Y

It should learn how to properly spend money - support the military- lose the waist

If by increase we mean raise wages for soldiers then yes. If not then no.

 @8WLDXML from Texas  answered…4yrs4Y

We could gut a third of the Pentagon and miss nothing in our defense budget. We need to right size the defense budget so that we aren't wasting money like we are now.

Direct the funds to scientific advancement in times of peace but have it available to be switched back immediately when needed.

 @8VPFQFK from Utah  answered…4yrs4Y

Military spending is grossly unaccounted for. Our military needs to be mighty but every penny should be individually be reviewed.

 @8VH4FSX from Florida  answered…4yrs4Y

 @8V6LPP2 from Wisconsin  answered…4yrs4Y

 @8TZF9LPIndependent from California  answered…4yrs4Y

It really depends on what's going on with our enemies if it's necessary to protect ourselves and those that are not able to protect themselves then yes

 @8TNKGZ8Independent from Florida  answered…4yrs4Y

Decrease, but the cuts should come in the form of administration. Most of the military budget has nothing to do with fighting wars.

 @8TNCWCHLibertarian from Texas  answered…4yrs4Y

This should a zero based budget, and focused on defense rather than jobs or other considerations.

 @8TMQMNT from Kansas  answered…4yrs4Y

decrease, we spend too much on military right now and we are not effective. Put better money managers in military, decrease our deficit, and only fund necessary functions. Military science needs to be drastically defined.

 @8TM9M5P from Florida  answered…4yrs4Y

Neither, but military should come home and all off shore bases should be closed. Protect our borders.

 @8TB798W from Texas  answered…4yrs4Y

Regardless, the government's military focus should be on protecting it's citizens from foreign aggression.

 @8TBLN5K from Florida  answered…4yrs4Y

Decrease, but only by way of removing troops from countries and regions we have absolutely no business being in.

 @8T5HH3D from Colorado  answered…4yrs4Y

The military should keep it’s current budget but in times of war the budget increases.

 @8SWBGDZ from Mississippi  answered…4yrs4Y

 @8ST6LHJ from Vermont  answered…4yrs4Y

Get rid of foreign aid increase defense spending pull troops out of Europe and Middle East

 @8SSKJMB from Mississippi  answered…4yrs4Y

I believe the government should focus a little less about military spending and instead help the lower class in some way.

 @8S4JX9X from Wyoming  answered…4yrs4Y

I feel a full and transparent audit of where and how government contracts are awarded and ran.

 @8RTRR9N from Florida  answered…4yrs4Y

I don't like commies and I want my military forces to do something to eradicate them in communist Russia and China.

 @8RT73VQ from Delaware  answered…4yrs4Y

Stop funding research that is going nowhere and funding contractors that are ripping the government off.

 @8RJRNFFConstitution from Connecticut  answered…5yrs5Y

Military spending should be decreased, but only after foreign powers stop relying on us for protection.

 @8RDLHCJ from Connecticut  answered…5yrs5Y

Military funding is important but at times horribly inefficient. I would support the same or increase in military funding so long as it was done more efficiently.

 @8R5BS7Y from Missouri  answered…5yrs5Y

No, they should just devote the current amount if "military spending" to ACTUAL military spending.

It shouldn’t be changed. But troops should be brought back from over seas. We are not global police.
