Depends on the situation. If there needs to be more defense and offense during war or battles yes. Otherwise, no.

I think the amount of spending should increase with the need. America is one of the biggest super power country and the military is one of the biggest reasons it is a super power. I think I'm order to stay on top the spending should increase with the need to stay on top as one of the strongest militaries.

Military should be privately owned and dispatched to fulfill the trivial needs and grudges of the 1%
@92J6SKTNatural Law3yrs3Y
The military spending should fluctuate with the welfare of the military.

make current technologies cheaper, and invest the rest in Nasa and missile defence systems
@8R4DCXXNatural Law5yrs5Y
Neither. The government should have a blank check national security budget, but monitor expenses through private think tanks.

It depends on the situation ideally you should want your military to be a strong as I can be in case we come to a worst-case scenario with a another country or even ourselves you never wanna be the undeeEquip person in the situation because that can determine the outcome of the situation

Decrease spending on the actual military; Increase spending to help veterans and veteran's families after returning from war.
@8N3PGJPNatural Law5yrs5Y
if it does not heart the income

Increase, as long as they use the expensive machinery for a good cause.
@99H3CYNNatural Law3yrs3Y
If the money is needed to protect us from harm or threat yes
@98CVNRFNatural Law3yrs3Y
Only if people are youse their spending on unnecessary things or if they get paid a lot.
@987J2JNNatural Law3yrs3Y
we use so much on the military but the other parts of the US are in bad shape

The military industrial complex is out of control. If you want national security, increase military at the border of Mexico and area on all coasts where it's "dark". A wall was an unnecessary waste of money, resources and it keeps us in and as much as it keeps them out it would still never be 100% effective. There are many who are just trying to escape the atrocities of regime of their own countries. Look at Canada, Australia, New Zealand and pretty much all of Europe. Oh, and what about what the government of China has done to their people?
@8GNYH92Natural Law5yrs5Y
I feel like we should put the same amount of money we put into the military into our society.

Increased funding through bakesales, mandatory conscription with no pay.
