I don't really care as long as they keep America safe but don't use too much money cause we need some too

 @9TZC7TV from Texas  answered…12mos12MO

the governments choice of spending should be based around the necessity, if there is peace in our land and the money can go to better causes there should be no reason military spending should be DRASTICALLY increased, simultaniusly if there is a point in our world where it is necessary for the defense of the people at an increased point, spending should rise and fall while revolving around those standards.

 @9SB95LY from Nebraska  answered…1yr1Y

Decrease military spending for U.S bases in other countries (we don't need to be there). Improve what we have here.

 @9MW6BPM  from Utah  answered…1yr1Y

Decrease, but reallocate monies toward higher wages & less expensive healthcare the military personnel and their families.

 @9M9H4WM from New Mexico  answered…1yr1Y

this is a dilemma, unfair question. I think military spending would be an issue if people could simply get along.

 @9KW6DNB from Hawaii  answered…2yrs2Y

I think they should decrease when there is no war or battle going on, but increase when the time comes for the need of the military. With decreasing there would be more money to better our country and provide better care, not just protection from other countries.

 @9KKC8PNPeace and Freedom from Florida  answered…2yrs2Y

to its own extant because alot of the time what we are paying for id war when our money can go to so much more like more education programs in highschools so that kids have more options or help pay for property.

 @9KFT2D8 from Arkansas  answered…2yrs2Y

I dont even believe war should exist, why cant we be civil and just talk it out instead of killing each other?

 @9KD5GG6 from Ohio  answered…2yrs2Y

Increase spending on veteran healthcare and housing subsidies, decrease spending on weapons manufacturing

 @9JSHLGM from Utah  answered…2yrs2Y

We need the agency monitored to stop the excess spending and hold them accountable to pass the last 6 audits they failed.

 @9HZP3SZanswered…2yrs2Y

As long as the amount of money spent on the military is reasonable for the amount of soldiers, pilots, nurses, doctors, engineers, tech people, special forces, etc that are active duty, I don't have a problem with government spending on it.

 @9HPG3M9 from Minnesota  answered…2yrs2Y

Increase and add more benefits to vets who served for a long time to protect the freedom we continue to enjoy today

 @9H88DSB from Ohio  answered…2yrs2Y

Decrease and use the leftover money for social programs to help low and middle class families and communities.

 @9GRGYXJ from Virginia  answered…2yrs2Y

The amount of spending is not problematic, but the efficiency of spending is. An audit would be more effective than a bpank8 increase or decrease in budgets.

 @9FXDS9M from Ohio  answered…2yrs2Y

Our country already spends so much on military balancing out money going to different places is essential. We should have a strong military but not neglect the other needs our country has to have.

 @9FJH3LPfrom Northern Mariana Islands  answered…2yrs2Y

Neither, however spending should be spend more on buildings upgrades, such as housing, warehouses, work areas, etc.

 @9FGZCW4 from North Carolina  answered…2yrs2Y

 @9F9PCL4 from Florida  answered…2yrs2Y

Decrease it to an understandable amount that can still be useful in events of emergencies

 @9F7ZJ2K from Virginia  answered…2yrs2Y

 @9DYCVWL from Virginia  answered…2yrs2Y

 @9DJMVWZ  from Tennessee  answered…2yrs2Y

They should cut some of the major expenses and things being covered that aren't issues that deserve funding, such as the male enhancement drug program etc. But they do deserve to have funding as needed for any instance of war or natural disaster so they can be ready

 @9DJJYDM from Georgia  answered…2yrs2Y

Neither, the current defense spending should be audited and unnecessary or inappropriate spending cut.

 @9DGTDCX from Ohio  answered…2yrs2Y

We are in nato, so we should have at least all the other members combined have a similair budget to ours and then we can lower it.

 @9DCVH2HProgressive from Arkansas  answered…2yrs2Y

No, it should only increase during wars or conflicts, and the government should put the extra spending toward education, healthcare, or lowering the national debt.

 @9D9H65R from California  answered…2yrs2Y

The Government should be able to give more funding when necessary versus large funding for unnecessary spending.

 @9D7VVTM from Indiana  answered…2yrs2Y

i feel like the govement puts more then enough money in to the milltary as it is

 @9T3F6Y9 from South Carolina  answered…1yr1Y

I dont feel the military has done anything to have their budget removed but the government has certain things like with some takes in the military they have to drive them a certain amount of miles for their budget to not be cut and I feel if they didn't have this rule we could save government spending.

 @9BMTDLZWomen’s Equality from Virginia  answered…2yrs2Y

Decrease, but only after we are out of wars. We are pretty set right now but if needed yes.

 @99YG9G5Progressive from Texas  answered…2yrs2Y

Neither until the Pentagon is able to set up a strict system to account for every penny being spent and the military industrial complex is nationalized. That way we will know whether our tax-payer money is worth spending and be sure that any spending is dedicated to actual national defense. Then we can make the decisions to increase or decrease.

 @9D27P7LDemocrat from Oklahoma  answered…2yrs2Y

Depends on what it goes towards, because military bases, specifically marine, are absolutely terrible environments for military members and their families.

 @9CZMTQR from Texas  answered…2yrs2Y

They should reallocate military spending to more urgent and present domestic issues.

 @9CXRJ65 from Georgia  answered…2yrs2Y

Maintain whatever spending is sufficient to remain the world leader in military strength and capabilities.

 @9CQ572D from Michigan  answered…2yrs2Y

Decrease, put more into improving the lives of the American and have Nato commit to the 2%

 @9CMW7XV from Tennessee  answered…2yrs2Y

Current spending is fine as long as the spending can be accounted for and is not being abused. Otherwise, the spending is being misallocated and siphoned by corrupt parties in the military.

 @9CC2728 from Texas  answered…2yrs2Y

decrease and send those funds to other areas of the government, i.e. education

 @9C8TRMCfrom Guam  answered…2yrs2Y

Decrease, but provide compensations to victims of war and increase social program funding with it instead

 @9BZZ3TV from Indiana  answered…2yrs2Y

Decrease but only until our deficit is drastically reduced and the threat of default is no longer present.

 @9BJDPNYDemocrat from Texas  answered…2yrs2Y

Only increase in needed situations, and decrease when it's not really needed and that money can be put into something else that needs attention.

 @9BC9WG5 from Michigan  answered…2yrs2Y

Keep spending the same but increase soldiers pay and benefits instead of unnecessary military equipment

 @9B6YHVP from Pennsylvania  answered…2yrs2Y

 @9B66WD2 from Ohio  answered…2yrs2Y

decrease, in the time of "war" then increase but other than that why spend the money that can be used elsewhere

 @99NVHGL from South Carolina  answered…3yrs3Y

Yes, as long as the taxes we pay every day is going towards military spending to help protect our country and not given to those who don't need more money.
