A lot of money dumped into military spending is horded and not used effectively, much of it is a waste of money.
@9XNY5P311mos11MO
Neither. The money needs to make sure it is being put to good use before you determine if the spending amount is good or not.
@9X7TS2TIndependent11mos11MO
Milatry need good equiment to be able to fight for our country but i think hey should also have a budget so they have money for other things as well
@9VM46Z4Progressive12mos12MO
Decrease for now, focus on diplomacy, then as the deficit is reduced slowly raise funding until it is back to the equivalent of what it is now.
@9S5G3SB1yr1Y
Cut waste in current military spending. Reprioritize where money is being spent based on what is needed to counter China
@9M76VPM1yr1Y
Strive for peace, prepare for war. Its imperative to have a strong military but unnecessary to indulge ourselves in war that's not ours
@9J6VHWT2yrs2Y
Decrease, the amount of spending is already outrageous and should decrease to a reasonable amount, budget what us needed and wanted.
@9HMRBDTLibertarian2yrs2Y
decrease but with the caveat that money is re-allocated with more accountability to where the money is going
@9HJF3DH2yrs2Y
We should decrease it but not by a huge margin that would affect the level of military we have today.
@9FH9TW92yrs2Y
depending on how much they need or is being used
@9DXSMWT2yrs2Y
Maybe, only if it's to help secure everyone's safety
@9DRHY7B2yrs2Y
decrease until we can get our national debt down a couple trillion dollars
@9D63RLL2yrs2Y
Military spending should be based on danger to the United States
@8Y3TL7W4yrs4Y
Increase so they are able to buy bigger and stronger weapons when they go into war, they fight for us, so we are able to go to school everyday and work.
@8XKBFSBRepublican4yrs4Y
decrease it but then if we get in a situation were more military funding is needed then increase it
@9D36BJZ2yrs2Y
Increase military and veteran benefits but decrease weapons funding
@9CYKMRXLibertarian2yrs2Y
Only if we are threatened by a hostile country or during war
@9BTRHFT2yrs2Y
Cut back on wasteful spending and only increase when needed.
@9BS4MSD2yrs2Y
Regulate spending better instead of letting projects get out of hand.
@9BLH9TD2yrs2Y
Neither, depending on what is necessary.
@9BLCS3S2yrs2Y
Increase, unless it is unimportant stuff
@96NZMS53yrs3Y
Decrease military spending and increase the quality of military equipment so we can reinvest that money in other government agencies and programs.
@96MJ7W5Republican3yrs3Y
Increase if war is waged, otherwise neither.
@96L2ZY53yrs3Y
I would say increase spending if needed but if not leave the spending how it is.
@96HG5Z5Libertarian3yrs3Y
increase spending but only for specific situations
@9657HTJ3yrs3Y
Of course, it is important for our milirary to have the best equipment in case of an emergency, but billions of dollars worth is an exaggerated amount. This money could be used for causes that are presently damaging out economy.
Currently, since we aren't at war if funding is balanced it should stay. When we are at war I think spending should be increased to help our soldiers out but while we are out of war I don't think it should increase
@9438FRN3yrs3Y
Decrease, but only if money saved is put into increasing mental health care.
@93NMCJT3yrs3Y
Decrease, by around 15% to reallocate the funds to education,
@93JM8643yrs3Y
Decrease, and use that money for domestic social priorities like community wellbeing and education
@8ZWDK3D3yrs3Y
@8ZS524T4yrs4Y
Decrease for now and if it is needed to increase later we can do it then. We are far ahead every other country.
@8ZBZTDY4yrs4Y
Increase it as long as it doesn't affect everyday people a lot by putting those costs in taxes
@8Z2YFFJ4yrs4Y
Decrease about 25 - 40%, even with that amount, we as a nation will have more military funds than the other nations combined
@8YJG3DZ4yrs4Y
Decrease, but this could not be done immediately. It would need to be done over time.
@8Y28KN74yrs4Y
Depending upon what happens in wars
Increase, but only during war or stressful times.
@8XXHGH74yrs4Y
If they need to then they should
@8XTMBXZRepublican4yrs4Y
I don't think they should increase military spending but they should keep trying to take very good care of current or previous service members.
@8XP5LPS4yrs4Y
decrease it until they are ready to come clean on the exact spending
@8XFRMYC4yrs4Y
Increase, the people in the military left their families to fight for their country and for others, they deserve more than what they get.
@8X2GXK64yrs4Y
depens if we are planing to go to war
@8WSYFT84yrs4Y
Neither, until it is needed.
@8WN782R4yrs4Y
I feel if it needs yes but if it does not really need right now then no.
@afawcett4yrs4Y
only if its a dire need. If stats prove that they need to be increased then do it
@8WBHCJP4yrs4Y
Neither, just stop spending our military spending on other countries.
@8VV5TBL4yrs4Y
Decrease, but spend money wiser and not waste as much
@8VKVQHRRepublican4yrs4Y
I think with the way Biden handled the last troop withdraw from afghanistan, he either shouldn't in charge of those decisions, or the spending should be limited. $85 billion dollars worth of equipment isn't a cheap thing to give away to terrorists.
@8VHTLJNLibertarian4yrs4Y
It depends on where the military would be going that would require more spending because we should be working on peace not war..
@8VCFQ5G4yrs4Y
@8V3Z8CV4yrs4Y
depends on the situation that the U.S. is in
@8TPDDRS4yrs4Y
Actually corporations need to not be about to charge more for an item just because it's for the military. That would drastically reduce its spending
@8TP4CTK4yrs4Y
Decrease it slightly, but only to a point where we still far outstrip other nations in funding
@8S7WTTK4yrs4Y
Decrease it a bit, it still needs to be ready and raring to fight nations like China and Russia, and we must make sure theres no chance for them to catch up in military spending.
@8S64G494yrs4Y
I believe it should be increased to help provide tax benefits to our military troops along with helping the mental state of our troops
@8RZ8ZSH4yrs4Y
America was not meant to have a federal standing army Military spending should be left to individual states
@8RYRG654yrs4Y
Decrease. Use other peace keeping methods to avoid using the military.
@8RY24V94yrs4Y
Decrease. The military budget funds many things that are not related to our national defense and security. Like many long-term government entities, it is inefficient and has expanded beyond its stated mission.
@8RY24V94yrs4Y
Decrease. The military budget funds many things that are not related to our national defense And security. Like many long-term government entities, it is inefficient and has expanded beyond its mission.
@8R7MB935yrs5Y
Increase it during time of war, and decrease it during peace
@8QXLH5V5yrs5Y
If we go into war and we need more funding yes but at this point no until there is a another war
@8QH74X95yrs5Y
@8QGBYQV5yrs5Y
Only increase if there is a threat to the security of our Nation
Our deficit should not be drastically reduced, but the military spending should be increased with the numbers we have right now.
Neither, but focus on ways to better handle military spending.
@8P8CS3T5yrs5Y
Bring our men back home, let other countries deal with there own problems.
@8P6K8DRRepublican5yrs5Y
I need more Information about how much we are spending? And what we would spend more on.
@8NZWHYB5yrs5Y
Keep it the way it is right now
@8NZJ2NF5yrs5Y
Decrease the military amount so we would still have a stronger military than the rest of countries while getting NATO countries to increase spending on their military.
@8NPZ8MP5yrs5Y
Decrease as long as we still have an edge over rival countries
@8NGDH2N5yrs5Y
only during wartime and conflict
@8NDB8TQRepublican5yrs5Y
Neither, they should spend it on better things.
@8N57C5F5yrs5Y
Decrease, but spend the money they have more efficiently
@8MQV9DQ5yrs5Y
no, but we might need more weapons or other devices
@8MP2K825yrs5Y
First pay off as much national debt as possible and see if there is any more or extra money in a budget that is not getting used and take that and give it to the military.
@8LZGKCC5yrs5Y
i don't really think either
@8LZ6MCV5yrs5Y
Keep it the same as right now.
@8LHKX8T5yrs5Y
Yes, We are the world leader in weapons development. We need to keep that edge. It will save American Lives.
@8L8NSC4Independent5yrs5Y
Increase and invest in service member
@8KY8WR75yrs5Y
Increase only if in a war
@8KT86W35yrs5Y
Decrease substantially and invest it in areas that it is needed (or at least make it so there is a balanced budget.
@8KDRCV65yrs5Y
Decrease, however, in a state of emergency they should be able to get a little extra money to help support them.
@8JSV7VM5yrs5Y
Decrease slightly, and find more ways for them to perform public service while not serving in active combat
@8JQ9WWS5yrs5Y
I dont think they should defund the military but more money means most likely more violence.
@8JNQL4N5yrs5Y
I don’t really know about this one
Decrease, but Increase in times of need.
@8J57BZ25yrs5Y
ze moeten het geld beter gebruike
@8HFC39J5yrs5Y
They should only spend it if needed.
@8GZ229B5yrs5Y
Decrease when in times of peace and no war needs fighting. However if a war breaks out then yes I would see no problem in increasing funding as long as its reasonable.
@8GJ6L6F5yrs5Y
Adjust the spending to their current needs
@8GDHXLM5yrs5Y
Decrease as long as we are not taking away from science initiatives.
@8GBKM5R5yrs5Y
Decrease. Even a small percentage could be used to fund underfunded programs
@8FRN8WN5yrs5Y
Increase, and introduce mandatory paramilitary training for all men.
@8F8V44N5yrs5Y
It truly depends on the situation.
@8DM55XW5yrs5Y
Yes if necessary. No if not.
@8DH2YVZ5yrs5Y
Decrease, but only what we feel we can afford to because national security is very important
@8CZZFPGIndependent5yrs5Y
Maybe decrease it a little bit
