Just depends on the situation
@B6LBC951mo1MO
All expenses for the military should be publicly available. Fiscal responsibility to know how our tax dollars are being invested in our defense.
@9ZN9J9K10mos10MO
Military should get the money they need with reason but not get whatever they want. They should get what is needed for the security of our country. Someone who served and knows what we truly need should head a committee to help delegate that spending.
Decrease as the US military is one of, if not the largest in the world, and it is in no need of continuous upkeep and expansion
@9ZB2P2F11mos11MO
We need to cut back on our military prowess and maintain a defensive posture, including withdrawal from NATO
@9WRH3WYProgressive11mos11MO
Neither but hold the military industrial complex liable for cost overruns and use audits to make the programs more cost effective and efficient with more oversight.
@9WLGZ8X11mos11MO
The government needs to have an auditor who looks for corruption in every level and we could save money
@9VK2Z3F12mos12MO
We should not only decrease, but radically change on WHAT. Our military is hyper focused on power projection via air power, which is quickly becoming obsolete. They need to refocus on defense of our territory and shipping lanes, with special interest in our submarine programs, "dumb" Artillery production, EW units, and drone units.
@9SKTQWR1yr1Y
They should be held accountable for spending and not have unaccounted black budgets and have military contractors screwing the people !
@9SHY6761yr1Y
The military spend to much money on the wrong things and too much on upcharges things due to military arms contracting.
@9SCY7JC1yr1Y
increase its important that we have updated weapons but not spend to much money cause that money could be used for other things to help the country
@9SCY7JC1yr1Y
they should decrease cause they already spent A LOT of money on the military and that money could go to something else
@9SB95LY1yr1Y
Decrease military spending for U.S bases in other countries (we don't need to be there). Improve what we have here.
@9RXS6Q5 1yr1Y
Sustain but massively redirect funds to up keeping infrastructure and supporting the long term care of veterans and their families. This includes but is not limited to bettering the VA system and taking over NOAH and other organizations that critical to the executive functions of the government.
@9K6BT3S 2yrs2Y
The amount of money given towards military spending should be proportionate to the amount given towards foreign nations and our own defense. There should be a set current rate unless we go to war.
@9H9R2HSLibertarian2yrs2Y
Yes, but spend it on things troops actually need. Not pointless wars or helping other countries. Ensure existing troop facilities and equipment are maintained properly, repaired to new or working condition, and provided with necessary operational resources
@9H2HCZQRepublican2yrs2Y
Decrease to the point of all necessary needs to protect the US, but high enough to stay ahead of our enemies and be prepared for emergencies.
@9GT34DNRepublican2yrs2Y
If the military needs someone to protect our country they should be able to buy it without hesitation
@9FP93N8Independent2yrs2Y
Decrease but it would depend where the money would go
Only when it's necessary/beneficial to our current state as a country dealing with the threat of a foreign invasion or attack.
should be limited with spending should be ran thru the house for bill paying
@9F7V65T2yrs2Y
Increase as more military intervention and involvement is needed
@9DMGD992yrs2Y
Increased, to help our own country, not other countries like Ukraine.
@9DDRZN62yrs2Y
Neither. Only when it is needed
@9DDRN4Z2yrs2Y
It depends on whats going on
@9DB7YZM2yrs2Y
only for our own countries. less gifting to ukraine
@9D59BX82yrs2Y
It should stay the same, and can be increased if internal audits reveal that the money is not lost or wasted.
@8J2P9VP5yrs5Y
Wasteful spending is the real issue. Get to the bottom of it and those responsible.
@99MW5J43yrs3Y
Yes because I feel as if the need to strengthen our military is necessary for any attacks that may happen in the future.
@96L778F3yrs3Y
Decrease, unless needed to increase
@95Z8LRPRepublican3yrs3Y
It should be increased when we are about to go to war. But when we aren't at war it should be decreased.
@95T2WYP3yrs3Y
If more of the money went to providing for veterans like a pension I’d be okay with it
@95QYNS93yrs3Y
If its needed then they should if they can go without then no.
@95PPS873yrs3Y
The budget should not be increased until the waste in military spending is addressed.
@948BTDTIndependent3yrs3Y
Decrease, and allocate more spending toward defense.
@93QLTJ83yrs3Y
Decrease, and redirect that money toward nationalized healthcare.
@93GKQW23yrs3Y
Decrease by making wiser financial decisions, (not buying screws worth 457$)
@935DL3Y3yrs3Y
Decrease spending as the military suggests and at least to the point that they suggest
@92Q2F5B3yrs3Y
More money should be allocated towards veterans and their needs rather than active military equipment. If we can do that and decrease budget then yes but if not then increase to do that but ideally not increase
@927QDGBIndependent3yrs3Y
As for the current situation, I would say no because of there is no war. If there happens to be war, then yes, increase
@8ZZDRZ83yrs3Y
Yes, but only after our deficit is drastically reduced and provide more support for post-military services through the Veteran's Association.
@8ZSXBDY4yrs4Y
Increase if it's for the protection of National Security or in times of war.
We should fund more peaceful solutions.
@8ZHQ23J4yrs4Y
Neither, but make it less profitable for contractors and more efficient for the government
@8YZZR684yrs4Y
The government should find ways to better our country before increasing military spending.
@8YVTVP24yrs4Y
Only when needed the current spending is fine but in times of war etc increases should be fine
@8YVCTWH4yrs4Y
Depends on how much that is and what were already have used it for.
@8YRPDFN4yrs4Y
Neither, but reallocate more of the budget to invest in quality of life for servicemembers and veterans
@8YR8BTG4yrs4Y
Reform military budgeting
@8YPVRYN4yrs4Y
become accountable for the waste in spending they have, then there would not be a need it increase.
@8YNBW544yrs4Y
Decrease, but increase based on circumstances
@8YLBR3W4yrs4Y
Increase, make it the main priority
@8Y9DPWN4yrs4Y
Entirely depends on the world's circumstances. If tensions are rising, then increase spending, and vivce versa.
@8XB9KSV4yrs4Y
I believe the Government should Pay for the safety of Americans, and not overtake other countries.
Decrease, but only sections related to building more weapons. Not Space Force or other beneficial programs.
@8X7RPJXIndependent4yrs4Y
I don't have much knowledge over military spending and thus have no opinion.
@8WWJ3Y44yrs4Y
If there is a war it should happen
@8WV6ZL74yrs4Y
I am unaware of our stance right now so I can not have a say in what I think is best
@8WRT6DD4yrs4Y
I think at this point in time, not really, but I do support it in times of war/tension
@8WQPZ6R4yrs4Y
I think it really depends on what our military situation is at, at the moment.
@8WPJB5Y4yrs4Y
They should decrease the spending and give the extra money to environmental causes to improve the world.
@8WN2SG84yrs4Y
yes, If they believe that they need more money in order to protect our country.
@8WM6YN64yrs4Y
Increase as needed, but apply more efficiency.
@8WG26H94yrs4Y
id say decrease a tiny bit and help boost our communities and stuff
@8W86C7J4yrs4Y
Increase using money currently given as foreign aid
@8W5QKTF4yrs4Y
Spending on the military should only be increased during a time where we really need them
@8VWJBXKIndependent4yrs4Y
Just punish unessasary spending
@8VQ4T384yrs4Y
Decrease, the military is mostly used for war and protection from threats. The U.S. is not needed in any current war, so till then I believe that the costs should be enough for training and preparing soldiers for any possible thing but it is not needed to be so high
@8VPRJMN4yrs4Y
Decreased AND, most importantly, repurposed to decrease traditional war machine and increase the amount spent on cyber warfare.
@8VGPPHH4yrs4Y
Cut funding and redistribute it towards other social programs but only as long as we stay above what everyone else spends on the military.
@8VFWKHX4yrs4Y
Decrease the military budget by at least 60 percent. Bring home all troops on foreign soil. Unionize the military.
@8V5C4764yrs4Y
Decrease by banning kickbacks and backscratching, and otherwise reduce corruption.
@8TWYN9TRepublican4yrs4Y
Should be increased to compete with chinas recent aggression
@8STSGQD4yrs4Y
Military spending should be reviewed on an annual basis and adjusted based on current conflicts and needs
Decrease only if we allocate the difference to the betterment of the people as a whole by increasing funding to schools and public services such as those
@8RKSDZZ5yrs5Y
Increase, but only if the government has its own funding to do it. They should not take more money from the people to increase the spending.
@8RKNXPYRepublican5yrs5Y
I believe it depends on where are stands is in the world
@8RK5Z6L5yrs5Y
It should be decreased in general, but in times such as war it should be increased to prioritize defense of the country should be in danger.
@8RK2NBT5yrs5Y
They need to spend what is needed to be spent but dont overdue it just to seem powerful.
@8RF7WBR5yrs5Y
Decrease and spread the money else ware
@choeft977Republican5yrs5Y
yes if that is what it takes
@8RDDH7W5yrs5Y
I would say increase because other countries are also always investing in their military and getting stronger and we don't want to be behind them. Also with a strong military means the countries citizens are more at peace.
@8R95HZ85yrs5Y
Decrease, and reroute towards healthcare.
@8R84RLV5yrs5Y
Decrease because we have a lot but at the same time still spend some so that we can keep up
@8R2MBKS5yrs5Y
depends on the situation and being more careful with how they budget
@8R229XW5yrs5Y
Decrease, because we could be aiming that tax money to more useful areas like Federal Aid and Medicare
@8QSG2MP5yrs5Y
Ensure money is spent efficiently, then increase as necessary.
@8QRRCV75yrs5Y
middle ground a specific spending amount.
@8QR83KK5yrs5Y
I don't think they should increase or decrease it.
@8PZY5V85yrs5Y
Reform the military budget making a more efficient budget that doesn't waste money and that helps the soldiers and vets.
@8PZVNM6Progressive5yrs5Y
Decrease physical and increase cyber and information security funding
@8PNGHB95yrs5Y
Yes; the government should have the ability to increase spending if a threat is recognized.
Decreased by a little to allocate more money to struggling programs and to debt relief
@8PF7VY75yrs5Y
Maintain current levels of spending and review all expenditures to improve efficient use of funds
@8NS53DY5yrs5Y
Abolish the military! It's a terrorist organization according to the rest of the free world.
@8NN2B9P5yrs5Y
Decrease, but make sure it isn't negatively effecting military families and the money gets redirected to funding for schools, roads, mental health facilities etc.
@8NBYDZ65yrs5Y
Increase in times of war or jeopardy
@MlynnnnylM5yrs5Y
Decrease, use funds elsewhere but maintaining functional and efficent military bases.
