Should the United States increase or decrease military spending?
The U.S. military budge pays the salaries, training, and health care of uniformed and civilian personnel, maintains arms, equipment and facilities, funds operations, and develops and buys new items. The 2023 U.S. military budget is $773 billion, an increase of 4% over 2022’s budget. The budget includes $177.5 billion for the Army, $194 billion for the Air Force and Space Force and $230.8 billion for the Navy and Marine Corps. Other country’s 2021 military budgets were China $293 billion, United Kingdom $68.4 billion and Russia $66 billion.

keep it the same but invest in different ways to keep the peace because we should be able to speak as grown adults without having to kill each other, and we do not need nuclear weapons to get our points across. We should be able to talk things out without unnecessarily ending lives. War does not "keep peace".

I believe military spending is fine where its at right now, but the pentagon misplaced $6.2 billion for military funding, we need to focus more on fraud, waste, and abuse rather than supplying billions of dollars to conflicts that have no end goal, like the war in Ukraine. Problems lay within the military and their budgeting, not from the amount they are allocated.

It can be increase or decrease meaning if they already have the stuff that they are needing and it has been working for them for awhile it should be fine and having no need for spending but if others of upgraded things that they don't have and they need it they have to spend it so once again it all depends on what goes around and happens in the military
