Should the government increase or decrease military spending?

only increase when most necessary

Lower, but fix our contracts with Military Companies, ban stocks in congress, and then increase efficiency of funds.

Keep our spending the same, but lower our military support of other nations such as NATO. Let others contribute as well.

keep it the same but invest in different ways to keep the peace because we should be able to speak as grown adults without having to kill each other, and we do not need nuclear weapons to get our points across. We should be able to talk things out without unnecessarily ending lives. War does not "keep peace".

I do not feel like it needs the excess funding for literal weapons that could wipe out entire cities.

there's situations to increase and situations to leave it alone. I believe that the military should be funded but in moderation and not so direct.

Decrease, it is over funded as it is and we could use that money to fund other more important programs.

The government should only spend enough to maintain our current military's size and cut all funding to 3rd party contractors

I think they should be aware of what they are spending it on, and use the money wisely, if i were to increase the spending. i dont think decreasing it would do us any good.

I believe that the government should maintain a capable, modern military, while avoiding wasteful or unnecessary spending.

I feel the goverments most important job is to protect us from outside and internal dangers . so it is important to be ahead of the enemys of the nation

Decrease, a Majority of that funding could be used to fund Healthcare and social programs, amongst other necessities

The funding should increase in times of war but it should decrease now because we are not in much danger.

I am satisfied with the amount we spend, but i believe there is a lot of waste that goes on that needs to stop

Right now, I feel we are in a good spot, we aren't in a war so there isn't a need for military spending. So, it can decrease for now. However, if conflicts were to rise and start, then there would need to be an increase in spending.

It depends on where the money goes. Suppose it were to go to the education system and other NEEDED issues then yes. However other mandatory spending needs to be decreased.

I believe military spending is fine where its at right now, but the pentagon misplaced $6.2 billion for military funding, we need to focus more on fraud, waste, and abuse rather than supplying billions of dollars to conflicts that have no end goal, like the war in Ukraine. Problems lay within the military and their budgeting, not from the amount they are allocated.

I believe that as long as we have a military that is well divided and supports all of its employees, while keeping America safe while still having a budget within reason it should stay relatively the same but I am not very educated on this topic

It can be increase or decrease meaning if they already have the stuff that they are needing and it has been working for them for awhile it should be fine and having no need for spending but if others of upgraded things that they don't have and they need it they have to spend it so once again it all depends on what goes around and happens in the military

We most certainly need our military, but we also should focus on the community. I think it should increase along with another program.
