Government needs to only increase spending if we are at a time of war when our allies can no longer assist us.

 @B56XY9JPeace and Freedom from Colorado  answered…5mos5MO

Depending on the funding veterans deserve to have there benefits and health accompided for serving and it be strictly monitored

 @B3FMXHF from Colorado  answered…7mos7MO

We already spend a large amount of money on the military, and a lot of it was wasted during Biden's four years as president. However, if there was a better system or where our money went within the military, then sure, spend more.

 @9ZMCSNK from Colorado  answered…10mos10MO

Examine the current expenditures and cut cost, waste, and abuse to make the current budget go further.

 @9X95JKBIndependent from Colorado  answered…11mos11MO

Increase where necessary. Increase for our safety here at home. Stop funding other countries for a while.

 @9W4NJ2BDemocrat from Colorado  answered…11mos11MO

Increase, but the monopolistic power our defense contractors have over the DOD really needs to be taken care of.

 @9VBSVPV from Colorado  answered…12mos12MO

If we don't need new military technology then we should worry about our debt and not new toys of war.

 @9V3X2YGWomen’s Equality from Colorado  answered…12mos12MO

Keep the same but they don't have to spend the entire thing nor can they request more, the remaining balance for one year can roll over to the next.

 @9RV7SYG from Colorado  answered…1yr1Y

Depends on the times. Now is not the time to decrease military/defense spending - rather it likely should be increased based on current events.

 @9QZTFC8 from Colorado  answered…1yr1Y

Reallocate funds to actually making a difference instead of frivolous spending on things that will end up being tossed aside in the end.

 @9LJ3L3QProgressive from Colorado  answered…1yr1Y

It should be decreased but not by so much that it reduces the livelihood and comfort of military members nor does it decrease our capability.

 @9L3NSXC from Colorado  answered…1yr1Y

If we are in a Dangerous world, Then yes. if it peaceful and without tension., It should be decreased

 @9KT9H89 from Colorado  answered…2yrs2Y

i feel like we've spent so much money on Ukraine. we've thrown money at them but yet we haven't taken care of the people in this country. I do believe that Ukraine needs assistance but at least show you care about the people in your house first

 @9J2X6DW  from Colorado  answered…2yrs2Y

Depending on what problems their are in the US, either raise it to normal spending, or reduce to spend that excess money on solutions to those problems

 @9HT8GVM from Colorado  answered…2yrs2Y

Overhaul the military industrial complex to eliminate price gouging and monopolies. Making spending more efficient so we can decrease it while maintaining the same innovation.

 @9HBVXTN from Colorado  answered…2yrs2Y

Decrease spending and prioritize spending to focus on better pay and living conditions for military members and veterans.

 @9FNW2RH from Colorado  answered…2yrs2Y

 @9F9TJ63 from Colorado  answered…2yrs2Y

It should be analyzed yearly based on state of the world and the US needs

 @9F6XF5X from Colorado  answered…2yrs2Y

It is important to keep up with other countries and their military to judge wether or not we need to spend more on our own.

 @9BCJGZS from Colorado  answered…2yrs2Y

 @96GL636 from Colorado  answered…3yrs3Y

The government should only increase military spending if leftover money in the budget is not going to other sources, but it should not be decreased.

 @965RW93 from Colorado  answered…3yrs3Y

 @92MMKYK from Colorado  answered…3yrs3Y

I dont mind but at the same time the us spends the most money on there military

 @927QV2J from Colorado  answered…3yrs3Y

 @8ZZC8YT from Colorado  answered…3yrs3Y

Neither, I think the budget needs to be changed and used towards different programs within the military.

 @8ZB9KC4 from Colorado  answered…4yrs4Y

It depends on how much money we have and how likely is it that we go to war with other countries. The amount we spend now seems like a ton of money but is it necessary? Are we in debt from the military funding?

 @8Z9P4MV from Colorado  answered…4yrs4Y

Government should increase or decrease military spending every 6 months based on times of war/peace, and other circumstances

 @8Z4PR2P from Colorado  answered…4yrs4Y

 @8YRNJ79 from Colorado  answered…4yrs4Y

 @8YQRWF8Independent from Colorado  answered…4yrs4Y

Ideally, reduce. In our current geopolitical environment reduction does not seem viable.

 @8XSTQYSRepublican from Colorado  answered…4yrs4Y

Stay where it is at because we do not want to spend to much money or don't spend a little money as well

 @8WTSXQ5 from Colorado  answered…4yrs4Y

 @8WBX983 from Colorado  answered…4yrs4Y

decrease, a little and put it to other place but are military keeps us safe but now we have wars over the internet it is not up and personal anymore.

 @8W9BZ7K from Colorado  answered…4yrs4Y

For the time being, neither increase nor decrease, but streamline the current use of funds and remove any inefficiencies, corruption, or wasteful actions.

 @8VWJNVY from Colorado  answered…4yrs4Y

The government should start selling things like oil and energy once it switches over to nuclear so it has large quantitites of oil and energy to sell, this oil and energy will only be on federal/consenting states lands and the profits can be used for things such as military spending,

 @8VNZJSW from Colorado  answered…4yrs4Y

Only to meet the needs of our security. China is looming large. After 20 years of war we need to update our military

 @8VGBF3CConstitution from Colorado  answered…4yrs4Y

How much is and should be spent depends entirely on the situation and the object of the spending.

 @8SXMXB7Constitution from Colorado  answered…4yrs4Y

 @8SWQG8X from Colorado  answered…4yrs4Y

 @8SVXH6N from Colorado  answered…4yrs4Y

Decrease, but I prefer to abolish the military and all forms of government

 @8RTSBT7 from Colorado  answered…4yrs4Y

Defense spending should remain high enough to ensure that attacking us or infringing on our overseas interests would exact a terrible cost on any would be adversary. But we need to be smart about what our interests are, and how that money is spent. A Pentagon that functions as a monetary sink-hole is harmful to national security.

 @8R9279Z from Colorado  answered…5yrs5Y

Reasonably budget the military off yearly expenses and give enough cushion for possible extra expenses.

 @8R4VGX2 from Colorado  answered…5yrs5Y

 @8QYHLWH from Colorado  answered…5yrs5Y

 @8QXQ23F from Colorado  answered…5yrs5Y

Decrease, but if it's for the PEOPLE in the military not for the military and the government that's a different story.

 @8QWYXB9 from Colorado  answered…5yrs5Y

Increase if needed, but only after our deficit is near or at one tenth of what it is now

 @8QC3K85 from Colorado  answered…5yrs5Y

 @8PPR9FL from Colorado  answered…5yrs5Y

Provided our overseas bases aircraft and naval spending isn't affected yes we should decrease the military budget

 @8PL87L9 from Colorado  answered…5yrs5Y

That depends if the nation is on a budget then decrease if to then sure increase.

 @8PJY9K6Peace and Freedom from Colorado  answered…5yrs5Y

They should only increase of they feel like there is a threat to the country.

 @8NXQFVD from Colorado  answered…5yrs5Y

The government should readdress military spending and stop the contract based system that allows price-gouging and over-spending.

 @Kchamb94 from Colorado  answered…5yrs5Y

They should redirect where the money goes. Pay the people in the military more, spend less on wars and weapons.

 @8NBT726 from Colorado  answered…5yrs5Y

 @8N9Z7TR from Colorado  answered…5yrs5Y

I think having money for the military is important but the government should start puting money into education and medical areas than just the military because they are just as important

 @8N69866 from Colorado  answered…5yrs5Y

 @8MZ6X3F from Colorado  answered…5yrs5Y

 @8M6JK2S from Colorado  answered…5yrs5Y

If it were to help the troops, I would agree but i don’t think it helps them

 @8M3WJP4 from Colorado  answered…5yrs5Y

 @8LZ7QVD from Colorado  answered…5yrs5Y

I think that not nessasaryly should the milatary get money, but the people that are retried from the military get more money.

 @8LWN4K5Libertarian from Colorado  answered…5yrs5Y

The spending we have underneath the Trump Administration is just what we need.

 @8LVQVGV from Colorado  answered…5yrs5Y

 @8LSD4CK from Colorado  answered…5yrs5Y

Spending should be generally decreased, but adjusted for wartime and such.

 @8LJLBZYRepublican from Colorado  answered…5yrs5Y

 @8K8JKSF from Colorado  answered…5yrs5Y

what are we planing to do with the money, can't give awnser if it isn't a full question

 @8K86B8VDemocrat from Colorado  answered…5yrs5Y

Decrease, but give the money they got and give it to more scientific branches like NASA or other infrastructure.

 @8K7BKJR from Colorado  answered…5yrs5Y

I think we should increase military spending to have what is the best to protect our lives.

 @8K6KZCC from Colorado  answered…5yrs5Y

I think that allowing us to spread out our money between all problems would work better due to the amount of money given to the military and how much of that budget they spend, which according to google is 15% of the total amount.

 @8J5H8SY from Colorado  answered…5yrs5Y

Stay the same, but move money towards combating the global war of climate change

 @8HW4M6P from Colorado  answered…5yrs5Y

They should spend all our money on nukes for the pride of our communist Russia

 @8HVZ2W2 from Colorado  answered…5yrs5Y

Reduce but gradually save for the time when the military is in need then spend the savings on them.

 @8HKQFCP from Colorado  answered…5yrs5Y

I think that they should have to fill a quota, because if they didn’t have to spend a certain amount to keep the funds high when they need it, they don’t have to spend a lot of money in times of peace

 @8GZ774VDemocrat from Colorado  answered…5yrs5Y

If the military isn't asking for the money, don't give them money! It's only saving our country some money or it can be put to something else

 @8F7MS3FDemocrat from Colorado  answered…5yrs5Y

Decrease, but reduce/eliminate wasteful spending to make military more efficient with tax dollars

 @8F6WFKN from Colorado  answered…5yrs5Y

Soldiers pay should be increased and services for veterans but over all budget needs reform.
