Decrease because we already have to most powerful military and waste a little bit too much money on military

 @B5Z96VHIndependent  from Delaware  answered…2mos2MO

Increase, or balance the spending between branches as the USMC is drastically underfunded compared to the USAF

 @B5HG39GProgressive from Delaware  answered…4mos4MO

Decrease, cut out waste in the Military Industrial Complex, and make sure that we still have a powerful military

 @B243GDN from Delaware  answered…9mos9MO

Decrease, and use it for the benefit of people such as education, scientific discoveries, research and development, infrastructure, etc.

 @B242Y54 from Delaware  answered…9mos9MO

Spending more money on the military that woe could solve world hunger, or helping with healthcare, but the need for technological advancements coming from war machines and things of that nature from the military, so this would be good to...Increase yea increase it.

 @9Y6CQCS from Delaware  answered…10mos10MO

Only increase to protect our own territory but drastically decrease our spending in foreign countries and overseas.

 @9X3GTRC from Delaware  answered…11mos11MO

Perhaps keep it the same but shift more money towards taking care of current and former military via pay, housing, etc.

 @9WS7TF7 from Delaware  answered…11mos11MO

No, because they already fight for our country so why should we make them pay more? They are already risking their life

 @9W5KNZ7Peace and Freedom from Delaware  answered…11mos11MO

if the money is needed elsewhere it should go to that cause, but if there's no need to send the money where it can be better used, it should continue to go into military funding. basically, only spend extra money on military.

 @9VB7K3G from Delaware  answered…12mos12MO

I support funding the military but only if we balance the budget and reduce the deficit and only as long as we don't spend too much on the military.

 @9V9HZYF from Delaware  answered…12mos12MO

They should be required to pass an audit and have all funds accounted for and change they way the government spends money.

 @9V2574B from Delaware  answered…12mos12MO

I am fine with how much we spend on our own military, but we should spend less on other militaries such as Ukriane or Israel.

 @9TGPWT5 from Delaware  answered…1yr1Y

We need to take care of our troops and make sure we can give them the best care especially the ones on the front line. And military budget should be on a sliding scale depending on what they need to get things done.

 @9SJG4D2Republican from Delaware  answered…1yr1Y

Shouldn’t of spent that much money, so much that we are in trillions of dollars in debt. But it is good that we spent a lot of money because we are now the most powerful country in the world by far. So there is good and bad in the spending in the US.

 @9S5YTSZ from Delaware  answered…1yr1Y

I understand the importance of funding for the military but I feel that we should remember what President Eisenhower told us about spending too much on the military in what he termed the "military-industrial complex." Basically, I'm good with military funding but as long as we don't spend too much money on the military.

 @9PJTYRS from Delaware  answered…1yr1Y

Maintain military spending, but change how it is allocated. Veterans deserve to be taken care of better.

 @9LDQL8CDemocrat from Delaware  answered…1yr1Y

We should decrease it because we are already way ahead of other countries when it comes to weaponry, so we should put less money into researching new weapons and wait for other countries to catch up a bit

 @9KXYYTPWomen’s Equality from Delaware  answered…1yr1Y

Neither because I don't think we need to since our military is one of the biggest and strongest in the world.

 @9K4GHPD from Delaware  answered…2yrs2Y

The military budget should only be changed after there is more accountability and corruption/fraud/waste is controlled

 @9JWMKWP from Delaware  answered…2yrs2Y

As of right now, it should stay the same, but if there is an event or conflict occurring involving the US, increase the spending.

 @9JSZXPB from Delaware  answered…2yrs2Y

It depends on whether an increase or a decrease is needed to begin with. Are our troops unable to access the weaponry and care they need in and off the battlefield? Are our troops incapable of defending our nation the way they are now? Are our troops not trained and maintained enough to ensure national safety? The answer to these questions will illustrate whether an increase or decrease is necessary.

 @9J3SVT2Socialist from Delaware  answered…2yrs2Y

Decrease, and invest that money into social welfare projects (Public Transit, Public Infrastructure, etc)

 @9HV24HJ from Delaware  answered…2yrs2Y

In times of peace, should decrease to ensure a better society, but at times of war, increase to ensure safe citizens.

 @9HFXJ4Z from Delaware  answered…2yrs2Y

I feel that it is just the situation that the military is in because if they need to spend a lot of money to keep the country safe then they should be able to.

 @9H7M6G8 from Delaware  answered…2yrs2Y

Military spending should only be increased if there is a need for it. Nothing should be done if there is no urgent need for increased spending.

 @9GLKLK4 from Delaware  answered…2yrs2Y

Decrease, and redirect the funds to other ways of keeping the public safe (Housing, affordable food, etc)

 @9FLF5XJ from Delaware  answered…2yrs2Y

They should make their own everything and just pay the people to get the materials necessary

 @9DVBQCG from Delaware  answered…2yrs2Y

 @9D7GKZD from Delaware  answered…2yrs2Y

 @8JLTB7G from Delaware  answered…5yrs5Y

 @9CHYMB8 from Delaware  answered…2yrs2Y

No, they should cut it for the production of weapons, then increase it in the pay for our military personnel

 @9BPRC66 from Delaware  answered…2yrs2Y

I feel like the government could increase there military if its necessary for a future war or if they need more soldiers.

 @95ZDDDL from Delaware  answered…3yrs3Y

 @95XTPLN from Delaware  answered…3yrs3Y

most of our annual spending is on military spending. we need to refocus it on adequately compensating our active duty citizens. we've already established and have/are maintaining the number one military and more importantly air force in the world.

 @95XSDKY from Delaware  answered…3yrs3Y

 @95H9SWT from Delaware  answered…3yrs3Y

Military spending needs to be more regulated and evened out between branches and authority levels, not necessarily increased.

 @93N5YN6 from Delaware  answered…3yrs3Y

If we include veterans in military, then yes. We need easier access to veterans benefits and no veteran living on the streets.

 @937HNLS from Delaware  answered…3yrs3Y

Decrease, simply because there is a lot of funding that goes to waste. They need a major reform, since they have a lot of good equipment that gets trashed, along with a lot of money that legit gets wasted.

 @92VHFXN from Delaware  answered…3yrs3Y

Decrease, but contingent on reduction of involvement in prolonged conflict, without jeopardizing readiness, lethality, and reduction of personnel numbers, pay, and benefits.

 @8ZBJCWB from Delaware  answered…4yrs4Y

Decrease wasteful spending that does not contribute to national defense

 @8Z5853M from Delaware  answered…4yrs4Y

Neither, the military is getting enough money to support what they need to do. They should cut costs that are unnecessary.

 @8Z4SL4K from Delaware  answered…4yrs4Y

The amount of military spending should be monitored and determine how much spending they should have based on what is going on in the world. If we are at war they should get more spending, but at peace less spending.

 @8YVCMBS from Delaware  answered…4yrs4Y

Build programs instead so new members can learn to operate helicopters, planes, learn mechanics, and carpentry and extra stuff like in the National Guard.

 @8YJZGDR from Delaware  answered…4yrs4Y

Increase,china has made a hypersonic missile they can damage us if we don't have any defence from that

 @8YH7JHL from Delaware  answered…4yrs4Y

Military spending should be focused more on programs that support our service members such as for TBI, PTSD, and reporting of sexual assault

 @8YDTVRQLibertarian from Delaware  answered…4yrs4Y

I think we should spend the same amount, but if the rest of the nation is suffering then we shouldn't increase.

 @8Y56VTL from Delaware  answered…4yrs4Y

Decrease, and we should never pursue war or violence unless it is absolutely necessary for defense

 @8XJGTH6 from Delaware  answered…4yrs4Y

If the issues are greatly higher, like lets say our enemy gets a nuke or other weapons of mass destruction, then it should be raised, however if we can handle it easily, the spending should be decreased.

 @8XJDYC9Republican from Delaware  answered…4yrs4Y

Yes, but only after bringing more unnecessary government spending to an end.

 @8XHMP4K from Delaware  answered…4yrs4Y

The government should look closer at what they are making the military do before increasing spending.

 @8XBSYHW from Delaware  answered…4yrs4Y

Increase to cooperate with inflation and remain the main spender in the world.

 @8X7K3BK from Delaware  answered…4yrs4Y

 @8WTJDXS from Delaware  answered…4yrs4Y

 @8WPP5KLIndependent from Delaware  answered…4yrs4Y

Increase, but only because of the amount of people in the military being forced into retirement at the moment.

 @8W3B6XZ from Delaware  answered…4yrs4Y

i could care less about our government they gaslight lies to keep them in glory

 @8SKT3L8Republican from Delaware  answered…4yrs4Y

Increase, but only to a point where it is needed and does not harm the economic balance drastically to where it could cause damage to other things.

 @8RT73VQ from Delaware  answered…4yrs4Y

Stop funding research that is going nowhere and funding contractors that are ripping the government off.

 @8QKWNR7 from Delaware  answered…5yrs5Y

 @8QDS9T4Independent from Delaware  answered…5yrs5Y

Decrease, and instead of putting most into making of tanks and bombs, put it into services and wages of our troops.

 @8Q29664Green from Delaware  answered…5yrs5Y

 @8PX9GV7 from Delaware  answered…5yrs5Y

 @8PS3MM7 from Delaware  answered…5yrs5Y

 @8NGY2QM from Delaware  answered…5yrs5Y

Why do we need so much. What statistical analysis is present in potential threats and the means to manage those threats?

 @8MQYP9H from Delaware  answered…5yrs5Y

Decrease and pull out of conflicts that do not directly affect our nation, including those of oil protections.

 @8MKQGHFDemocrat from Delaware  answered…5yrs5Y

I would want them to give more money to soldiers, since my cousin is a soldier.

 @TheMediatorRepublican from Delaware  answered…5yrs5Y

Decrease, but only through eliminating wasteful spending and inefficiency.

 @8M5Y2W5Democrat from Delaware  answered…5yrs5Y

While it is likely a decrease in military spending could be achieved, it is important to do it by eliminating waste and improving efficiency rather than by cutting back on spending that increases the level of our troops and their safety.

 @8M3YXL4Independent from Delaware  answered…5yrs5Y

Analyze what they are spending money on and see how much money they would need to improve certain parts of the military.

 @8LYBRKC from Delaware  answered…5yrs5Y

Decrease to allow the deficit to be reduced and cut any unnecessary spending.

 @8LQGYYRRepublican from Delaware  answered…5yrs5Y

It is fine where it is at, we have the strongest military on the planet, and it should stay that way.

 @8L8XPQN from Delaware  answered…5yrs5Y

Increase each year by a bit but not that much so we can spend on other important things

 @8KSMNR7Independent from Delaware  answered…5yrs5Y

 @8K6JQQB from Delaware  answered…5yrs5Y

 @8JHRC6R from Delaware  answered…5yrs5Y

They should keep doing what they're doing right now, they are already spending millions.

 @8JBP5ZM from Delaware  answered…5yrs5Y

 @8HQ4HNP from Delaware  answered…5yrs5Y

Funding should be decrease for police departments utilizing military equipment (such as tanks) and invested more in training and supporting vets.

 @8H42VGF from Delaware  answered…5yrs5Y

The ratio of federal spending should be restored to previous years in regards to military allocation

 @8FV6LVMIndependent from Delaware  answered…5yrs5Y

I am support of increased funding if that is going to dramatically improve the program to keep America protected

 @8FG9CRZ from Delaware  answered…5yrs5Y

 @8DMBSPV from Delaware  answered…5yrs5Y

Decrease. Bring our troops home to protect our homeland. The government currently spends more than $60 BILLION on international military contingencies, we don't need to police the world.

 @8DD6SKT from Delaware  answered…5yrs5Y

 @8DD53QY from Delaware  answered…5yrs5Y

I think it should be a matter of current global stances among the most threatening countries along with our allies stance on military

 @8DBFBYY from Delaware  answered…5yrs5Y

Decrease spending on exorbitant defense contracts; increase spending on soldier pay, benefits, and quality of life.

 @8D6Z5Z8 from Delaware  answered…5yrs5Y

They should increase if needed, but decrease if there is unnecessary spending/funding

 @99PZL8G from Delaware  answered…3yrs3Y

Increase but only towards providing better care, living conditions and programs for veterans and decreasing spending for unnecessary privileges.

 @99KCTRT from Delaware  answered…3yrs3Y

Decrease, and take that money to more essential things like medical research
