Should the government increase or decrease military spending?

I think an audit of how exactly they are spending their money first would be useful, then we decide, but no, they should not simply decrease spending.

Increase when needed for major wars, but keep the same if the war isn’t within the US or affecting it’s land

The military spending should only be increased if needed, like if weapons need updating or if the equipment needs fixing

Decrease, add more funding to several other federal departments instead of continually adding more and more to military spending.

Military likes their fat as Golden Corral budgets... but like... they don't actually need this sexy technology for everything, in fact many of their own pet projects at this point just don't work as effectively. Suggested by someone else: The more complex you make this, the more ways it can go wrong. Maybe it'll blow up in our faces by the time America has a conflict in the nightzone or something, hell if I know.
As for general spending, you could say that maybe the quality of training in the US is a bit less good than it used to in some aspects... Never the less, the military…  Read more makes a lot of insurances (healthcare, GI Bill, Bonuses, insert new priveledge), and they have to keep up with a lot of them, despite the God forbid I say the amount of debt America holds. We are printing money out our butts just to get through the decade sadly.

I would prefer that the spending is better spent and $2000 is not spent on coffee pots, if we are spend more on basic supplies it should be on things that ensure the comfort and protection of the enlisted members

They should update their software, more so to where online attacks don't happen. It has happened before and it would be better if we had a better protection against online attacks.

Decrease until the U.S. is more out of debt. Only decrease a little bit though and if that ends up harming the U.S. then we can increase it again and if it works we will keep slowly decreasing it until it is at a acceptable rate.

The amount of funding should not change. As a lot of bills can pull from extra millitary funding. And in the current geo-politcal climate, if we were to go to war I want our millitary to be ready and have the funding it needs in case of this outcome.
