Should the government increase or decrease military spending?

Decrease, though it would be unwise at this point currently, other things need to be done before military spending could safely decrease without risking greater future problems.

The United States military is extremely inefficient with spending and usually over-pay from contractors for weapons and parts. I believe that if the inefficiencies could be solved the budget wouldn't need to be risen and could be lowered.

It should be based on the current status. In conflict or if there is a possible conflict, then it should increase spending but otherwise only maintenance funds.

Depends, We must budget our spendings for basic to complex needs, like schools, hospitals, military, and other departments, once that's balance, we can see if we can increase or decrease military budget spending.

Military likes their fat as Golden Corral budgets... but like... they don't actually need this sexy technology for everything, in fact many of their own pet projects at this point just don't work as effectively. Suggested by someone else: The more complex you make this, the more ways it can go wrong. Maybe it'll blow up in our faces by the time America has a conflict in the nightzone or something, hell if I know.
As for general spending, you could say that maybe the quality of training in the US is a bit less good than it used to in some aspects... Never the less, the military…  Read more makes a lot of insurances (healthcare, GI Bill, Bonuses, insert new priveledge), and they have to keep up with a lot of them, despite the God forbid I say the amount of debt America holds. We are printing money out our butts just to get through the decade sadly.

I would prefer that the spending is better spent and $2000 is not spent on coffee pots, if we are spend more on basic supplies it should be on things that ensure the comfort and protection of the enlisted members

They should update their software, more so to where online attacks don't happen. It has happened before and it would be better if we had a better protection against online attacks.

Decrease until the U.S. is more out of debt. Only decrease a little bit though and if that ends up harming the U.S. then we can increase it again and if it works we will keep slowly decreasing it until it is at a acceptable rate.
