Focus Military to a more Roman style where soldiers, unarmed, are put to work reconstructing the nations infrastructure and providing important services.

 @9YNN45NNo Labels from Nevada  answered…10mos10MO

Establish financial and legal penalties for any company found guilty of price manipulation and ornover charging of defense items

 @9YF3NRGNo Labels from Minnesota  answered…10mos10MO

decease after making our allies in nato spend required GDP, many allies don't meet requirement and causes us to spend more on their protection

 @9XYSTZGNo Labels from Texas  answered…11mos11MO

I don’t care as long as we are being smart, minding our own geopolitical business, not funding other countries’ wars, and prioritizing the safety of our country and our citizens

 @9XYKSF7No Labels from Alabama  answered…11mos11MO

It depends on how much the military needs to spend, if to expensive then the government should decrease military spending.

 @9XYBHPGNo Labels from Illinois  answered…11mos11MO

Decrease only because this should not be our number one priority with the amount of money the us is spending

 @9XY6RJCNo Labels from Ohio  answered…11mos11MO

I would like to know why ours is so high compared to others and is there a way to decrease spending without compromising quality.

 @9XQWY67No Labels from New Hampshire  answered…11mos11MO

Maintain a high budget but there needs to be a major audit in order to improve efficiency of our military and its global outposts.

 @9XPKLFVNo Labels from Wisconsin  answered…11mos11MO

No, only until the secretary of defense can be completely transparent to where our tax dollars are going. They have failed their audits.

 @9XFPW9NNo Labels from Michigan  answered…11mos11MO

decrease by billions of dollars we are wasting money on stupid things that don't work and for wars that are little and have nothing to do with us.

 @9X833C6No Labels from Michigan  answered…11mos11MO

Specific parts of the military may need more funding but increasing overall does not guarantee those parts get what they need. No to a blind increase; yes to needed programs.

 @9X3GTRC from Delaware  answered…11mos11MO

Perhaps keep it the same but shift more money towards taking care of current and former military via pay, housing, etc.

 @9WZP5BSNo Labels from Missouri  answered…11mos11MO

The government should not overspend on the military for its own strength or at the expense of its people.

 @9WXYCSQNo Labels from Texas  answered…11mos11MO

Important to ensure we are fully able to protect our country against attacks but also need to be providing funding to other programs to reduce COLA and availability of good healthcare and better protected caregiving

 @9WN83NPProgressive from Indiana  answered…11mos11MO

Maintain spending for the interest of deterring expansion of totalitarian regimes, cut costs where possible elsewhere.

 @9WKM35SNo Labels from Indiana  answered…11mos11MO

We need to be able to defend our citizens. But stop wasting so much God damn money on nothing. And stop the Pentagon from failing trillion dollar audits.

 @9WG2XM8No Labels from California  answered…11mos11MO

The government should spend what we have in a more efficient way so that decrease is possible in the future without threatening our national security standards.

 @9WFL8SC from Florida  answered…11mos11MO

Decrease UNECESSARY spending, military and other, instead of cutting wages and incentives for military personnel.

 @9WFJ6KNNo Labels from West Virginia  answered…11mos11MO

I think it should stay the same its in a pretty decent spot where its at and we aren't really fighting with people as of right now.

 @9WBJ39PNo Labels from Florida  answered…11mos11MO

It needs to be decreased in a lot of areas, and increased in other areas. The government waste a lot of tax payers dollars on unnecessary things but complains they need money for other more important things. They would have it if they stopped spending on stuff that is not needed.

 @9W9H47QNo Labels from Missouri  answered…11mos11MO

Change what the budget is for. The military budget numbers are massivly inflated by so much that isnt military

 @9W6Z6RZNo Labels from Florida  answered…11mos11MO

It depends on the situation. They should increase it if they feel like it's necessary. However, I don't have enough knowledge to truly form an opinion.

 @9W6N5YGNo Labels from Utah  answered…11mos11MO

Decrease, because our military is dumping equipment into the ocean to keep their budget high, which is stupid and hurting the environment

 @9W68WQXNo Labels from Idaho  answered…11mos11MO

I think Neither, unless the army has caused severely, expensive or permanent damage to soldiers then they should increase their payment

 @9W3ZPPJNo Labels from Colorado  answered…11mos11MO

The way the military spends its budget needs a significant overhaul, and I don’t want to keep giving a corporation money when it doesn’t give it to its people.

 @9VZQHLMNo Labels from Florida  answered…11mos11MO

I think the military needs to increase the salary of the soldiers that really it. Other than that I’m satisfied

 @9VZ8882 from Oklahoma  answered…11mos11MO

I think we should join the commonwealth and give much of our weaponry to the United Kingdom to help restore the British Empire

 @9VQ7R7YNo Labels from Wisconsin  answered…11mos11MO

Increase only if necessary, but they should spend it for our military and not on supplies to help our allies, because inevitably it causes us to use all our funding on other peoples military

 @9VHBQT5No Labels from Maryland  answered…12mos12MO

We focus on the military but not members. In times of peace with no brewing conflict we should decrease it.

 @9VG42THNo Labels from California  answered…12mos12MO

I think we should increase our military spending by decreasing the amount of money we give other countries to fight there wars

 @9V6N9L2No Labels from Pennsylvania  answered…12mos12MO

Military spending should always be commensurate with the need to defend our country and true democracy and peace around the world

 @9V6B34CNo Labels from Tennessee  answered…12mos12MO

yes, and buy tampons/pads for women. To continue, gear like ill-fitting armor and helmets, aren’t designed for women’s bodies, hence leading to injuries. Even necessities, like feminine hygiene products, are overlooked. While male soldiers receive free condoms, women have to supply their own tampons and pads—even when they’re deployed in remote combat zones. These aren't just inconveniences; they reflect a deep disregard for women’s health and well-being.

 @9TZQRMJNo Labels from Texas  answered…12mos12MO

During a time of peace there should be less military spending and we should focus on advancing our training regiments to prepare better educators to train new recruits when the time comes.

 @9TYT8JV from Pennsylvania  answered…12mos12MO

Neither, we should keep what we have right now the way it is and not worry unless there is a threat to our country.

 @9TW44PSNo Labels from Ohio  answered…12mos12MO

Restructure the budget to prioritize veterans and their care and more indirect forms of military as well as soft power.

 @9TV2N8JNo Labels from Arkansas  answered…12mos12MO

Does our military really need all the money? Is it uselessly being spend? How's it being spent? How do we know this money is being spent properly?

 @9TPMRHRNo Labels from North Carolina  answered…12mos12MO

I want to ensure that more money goes towards our troops, but not towards advancing weaponry or wars.

 @9TP5GFPNo Labels from Virginia  answered…12mos12MO

It shouldn't increase or decrease as increasing it could lead to more encouragement for war and decreasing it would put citizens at risk.

 @9TN48TBNo Labels from Connecticut  answered…12mos12MO

we should keep the spending to the point where we can remain the strongest country in the world military wise, but we should decrease it if that funding is going to supplying wars in other countries

 @9TJDYJVNo Labels from Oregon  answered…1yr1Y

Decrease slightly, I think the money that’s used into the millitary could be used for other government funded company’s like nasa or other government funded projects like building schools or roads, but i also believe that it is important to be spending that money on the military to help protect the us if anything were to ever happen

 @9TFSG5VNo Labels from South Carolina  answered…1yr1Y

I think we should not spend as much on other county's military so we can spend more on other things maybe relive some of the dept we are in and then if we need to increase or decrease for our own military

 @9T8N8B8No Labels from California  answered…1yr1Y

increase only when tensions are high with other countries, there is no need for high military budget during peacetime.

 @9T27MD9No Labels from Washington  answered…1yr1Y

It should stay the same. Other governments like Russia could take a decrease as an opportunity and a increase would leave less money for the people needs.

 @9SZXG6TNo Labels from Virginia  answered…1yr1Y

Neither specifically but if another unit is more in need of the funding then it should be moved since they do have insane funding.

 @9SKWH5L from Texas  answered…1yr1Y

The government should stop overpaying for military contracts, then decide if the budget is sufficient.

 @9SKRGCX from California  answered…1yr1Y

The government should decrease spending on wars in other countries and instead increase spending for support and benefits for veterans and families living on military bases.

 @9SJN7KW from Texas  answered…1yr1Y

Decrease military expenditure towards foreign countries, but keep spending the same for the United States military.

 @9SFXWDTNo Labels from California  answered…1yr1Y

As long as the funding also helps our veterans have lives when they come back as well as the nuclear deal is enacted on swifter than before hopefully with Russia at the same pace.

 @9S3XTLZ from North Carolina  answered…1yr1Y

Reduce overall spending by fixing the broken defense industry inflation of prices where you see a bag of bolts cost the government hundreds of thousands of dollars.

 @9RT9X6YNo Labels from South Carolina  answered…1yr1Y

I believe that they should work on tackling corruption and dead-end projects within the pentagon before making significant changes to the defense budget.

 @9QXBC73No Labels from Arizona  answered…1yr1Y

Only increase if tax burden on taxpayers is reduced as most american taxpayer dollars currently go to military spending, that money would be better used elsewhere

 @9QTG3VZNo Labels from Vermont  answered…1yr1Y

we wouldn’t want our country more in debt, but whatever it takes to keep our country and soldiers safe should be done and spent.

 @9Q2M65LNo Labels from Georgia  answered…1yr1Y

It varies. The military as a whole needs to be reformed but not defunded. Funding for cop city needs to be decreased if not tossed out altogether and military spending regarding foreign interests needs to be decreased.

 @9PXLNNZNo Labels from South Carolina  answered…1yr1Y

Increase but with a clear and detailed public document showing exactly what the spending is being alloted to. Allow the American people to decide where the tax dollars go.

 @9NYNMRH from Illinois  answered…1yr1Y

Military should only be used for defensive purposes. Stop the destabilizing imperialist forever wars

 @9LVRCBLanswered…1yr1Y

Increase, but make sure it doesn't Interfere with other Government Stuff, like School, or any other thing, that we need.

 @9KJY38SIndependence from New York  answered…2yrs2Y

if needed they should spend more but if they dont really need to spend then they shouldnt spend anything

 @9KCRT78 from California  answered…2yrs2Y

I feel like the military already has a lot of spending money and should us it for more relevant things or important things

 @9JWPVT4Independent from North Carolina  answered…2yrs2Y

Increase if it needs more money, decrease if the money is not needed or is being used inefficiently.

 @9JVVL7Cfrom Guam  answered…2yrs2Y

We should decrease the military spending by billions and allocate that to solve homelessness and feeding the needy.

 @9JLVFBRRepublican from Illinois  answered…2yrs2Y

With the rise of military conflicts across the world, it is important that we have a sufficient amount of military funds in order to be prepared for conflict.

 @9JKC4DD from Arizona  answered…2yrs2Y

I think that spending money on military defense is a major priority our country should have, but I also think there are other priorities that the government can spend their money on such as education and the medical field.

 @9JFJ3V5 from Oklahoma  answered…2yrs2Y

The Level of Funding they have now is good, it is the debt that makes it questionable as to why we are still shoveling as much money as we are into the military.

 @9J638L4Women’s Equality from Illinois  answered…2yrs2Y

I think we should stop giving so much money to foreign countries and their military (EX: Israel, Ukraine)

 @9J53M25 from Florida  answered…2yrs2Y

The budget should stay the same, but there needs to be a full scale audit to discover and eliminate wasteful and fraudulent spending.

 @9HJC8PR from Ohio  answered…2yrs2Y

Force them to have experience with the top training but increase it when needed but for now decrease

 @9HCV3SD from Indiana  answered…2yrs2Y

it depends on where the money is going. If it actually goes to the U.S. that's fine but when we dropped out of Afghanistan and left a billion or so worth of equipment that's a big no-go for me. It's our money our supplies. yes, we can help other countries but don't let them become dependent on the U.S. and stop leaving expensive weaponry.
