Raise taxes on the rich which commit morally questionable, awful, or downright illegal deeds. Also raise taxes on the rich that inherited their wealth instead of earning it. Lower the tax rate for the rich that do good and are innovative. Lower taxes for the middle class and poor.

Not yet, because people in general don't have trust in their federal government and believe they waste a bunch of money. So, reinsure trust within the federal government and cut unnecessary waste THEN tax the rich.

We need a new tax code because our taxes don't work and we are taxed too much. That being said too many rich individuals and families find ways to rig the taxes in their favor

 @9FC3N23American Solidarity from Texas  answered…2yrs2Y

Yes, to a point where a negative income tax can be enacted and a minimum standard of living guaranteed to all citizens.

Replace current tax brackets with progressively greater rates as income levels increase

 @9BN6Y6RAmerican Solidarity from Connecticut  answered…2yrs2Y

Yes, but taxing the rich is tricky as their wealth isn't so much in income as it is in assets like real estate or securities like stocks and bonds, so taxation would have to go after those, and while we're at it, corporations need to pay their fair share, they've paid less and less since the end of WWII

 @9646B8XAmerican Solidarity from Kansas  answered…3yrs3Y

A fair and progressive tax system that ends subsidies and exemptions which disproportionately benefit the wealthy and favor speculation over work.

 @93YT854American Solidarity from Pennsylvania  answered…3yrs3Y

Create a single form of federal taxation based upon taxation of individual purchases. This will close loopholes. Create exemptions for items related to care of children, elderly and infirm. Create a subsistance standard, index to inflation rate and provide necessary assistance to the working poor.

Abolish the income tax, disallow all deductions, institute national sales tax and institute Georgism

Reform to a flat tax, but protect the poor, elderly, disabled, etc; thereby indirectly taxing those with a higher income more; and punish those who abuse the system with exemptions.

 @8GNGGFKAmerican Solidarity from Florida  answered…5yrs5Y

Enforce the progressive tax system so that the more money you make the more you pay, and eliminate deductions and loopholes so people like Trump don't pay less taxes than a part time grocery store worker

 @8GBL79HAmerican Solidarity from West Virginia  answered…5yrs5Y

Taxation ought to use a gradient measure. 10% on a family making 80,000 effects differently than a family of four. Making 800,000.

 @9CMXGYZAmerican Solidarity from California  answered…2yrs2Y

Yes, but the raised tax rate on the rich depends on where they live & how much they make.

 @7F2D886American Solidarity from Florida  answered…3yrs3Y

Regardless, eliminate loopholes and include offshore bank accounts in tax calculations

 @97JR6LCAmerican Solidarity from Washington  answered…3yrs3Y

Remove all tax loopholes as well as make all taxes based on a percentage, (A standard of 10% for example, with very poor ppl given lower, and richer ppl given higher depending on the average income) because richer people can afford to give more and still live better than someone with less income.

 @974VTW3American Solidarity from New York  answered…3yrs3Y

Yes, and implement better policies that eliminate loopholes that allow the rich not to pay taxes.
