The government should not be involved in the healthcare industry at all.

Mental health is not the problem, the problem it ‘s our hyper individualistic, consumeristic culture that drives people to have bad mental health, I would recommend people to learn about Johan Hari a British journalist who wrote a book about addiction and depression, he makes great points of the mental health crisis we’re dealing with. I also recommend people to demand more people’ friendly cities, car centric cars makes people more lonely, depressed,

so are you for or against the government paying for our healthcare???

 @BCBR26B from Georgia  answered…3mos3MO

Not until something is done about the prices. It's obvious that a separate group with strings is making healthcare expensive giving them more money won't do the job.

 @B9JDDKL from Georgia  answered…5mos5MO

Yes, there is a mental health crisis in the country and we should fund rehabilitation and care for those who have mental health issues

 @9WB26PP from Georgia  answered…2yrs2Y

Yes, with more research medical professionals will be able to identify causes of suicide and certain brain abnormalities leading to mental illnesses. This will pose more treatment plans with new information gained about mental illnesses.

no because I'm afraid they will realize there is more money to be made by prescribing more opioids to Americans and in turn have them feign off of the drugs.

No, allow it to be more privatized for the sake of capitalism, weak government, low taxes, and low national debt.

No, allow it to be more privatized for the sake of low taxes, low national debt, capitalism, federalism, weak government, and checks and balances.

Yes, and we need to institute more in-house treatment for drug rehab and mental health problems. Sending people home, back to the environment that fueled the problem never works! We are at epidemic levels in this country because we have exacerbated problems over the past 30 years.

 @9KWD3FL from Georgia  answered…2yrs2Y

Yes. We need better quality. And we need to not privatize it or the medications necessary to help mental disorders. Make them cheaper.

 @9DZSN4Z from Georgia  answered…3yrs3Y

Yes, and bring back mental institutions. Many of the people who are currently homeless need to be institutionalized, for the good of everyone

 @9DRHX76  from Georgia  answered…3yrs3Y

Yes; the government has an obligation to not only undo the dismantling and deregulatory activities of Ronald Reagan regarding mental health facilities, but should also substantially increase funding for those institutions

Yes, but also incentive the private sector to address mental health as well as personalized care

This should be handled at the state level, not by the federal government, but I do think states should increase funding for it.

 @92838XXIndependent from Georgia  answered…4yrs4Y

Yes, but there should be more funding for personalized care instead of subsidizing pharmaceutical companies

 @8QLPPQ4 from Georgia  answered…5yrs5Y

Yes, the stigma around mental health and psychological order needs to be resolved in order to better help the homeless with psychological disorders, provide an overall better quality of care, and better help and educate the police to deescalate a dangerous situation when dealing with someone who has a psychological disorder.

 @8PZ4Y99Republican from Georgia  answered…5yrs5Y

More efficient system. Serious mental health patients need to be in institutions

As a mom of Autism child - I want cures and more money for autism therapy treatments. Health Insurance does not cover most out the box therapy's.

 @9CFSGSK from Georgia  answered…3yrs3Y

Yes, our mental healthcare system needs more funding to provide a higher quality of care and services. AND the government should also use some of this funding to reduce the stigma that surrounds mental health issues.
