In that case, I vote for Hades, god of the dead and king of the underworld.

I’d choose whichever Greek deity was the more knowledgeable and moral type.

That we should not let rich companies buy family homes and drive the average price of a home insanely high.

Republican. Having less government and restrictions is what's best. In doing so, competition starts, and low prices appear again.

  @VulcanMan6  from Kansas  commented…3yrs3Y

When has that ever actually been true though? I understand that it is a common laissez-faire market capitalism defense, but when has that actually ever provided better, or even good, outcomes for society, much less even the benefits it claims to produce?

Limited Federal Power and more reliability on state power/charities. Healthcare and Social Security will not work in the long run.

So your ideology is just...authoritarianism?

 @B1cameralSheep from Tennessee  agreed…3yrs3Y

Not necessarily authoritarianism. One can hold a pro-life stance, which advocates for the rights of the unborn, without advocating for authoritarian control in all aspects of life. For example, one could strongly support individual freedoms in areas such as free speech, gun ownership, or economic enterprise, while still believing that the right to life is fundamental and should be protected. Would you say it's possible to hold seemingly contrasting beliefs in one's political ideology?

  @VulcanMan6  from Kansas  commented…3yrs3Y

I think that there are obviously several different axes that go along with any ideology, although being consistent in your ideals is important.

For example, I think advocating for the rights of "the unborn" fundamentally takes away rights of the already born, which is worse. Also, I would definitely argue that "economic enterprise" is a largely economic authoritarian belief as well.

Not that it is super objectively helpful, but I'd be curious to see where a generalized political compass test would place you...

I AM A FASCIST

  @TruthHurts101 from Washington  commented…3yrs3Y

Fascism is just an ultra-nationalistic form of socialism – it's just as evil and promotes the same wealth redistributionist programs.

  @VulcanMan6  from Kansas  disagreed…3yrs3Y

lol this is a completely ahistorical, and even just blatantly incorrect, interpretation of both fascism AND socialism. Fascism is literally a far-right political movement most characterized by its reactionary totalitarianism against left-wing movements, whereas socialism is a left-wing economic ideology in which the means of production are socially-owned. So you not only failed to correctly describe or define either term, but also incorrectly connected two diametrically opposed concepts.

Holy- okay, history lesson here. Benito Mussolini, big driver of fascism. He himself has analyzed and used the ideology of fascism. Fascism, when it spread in Italy and Germany, were built as far-right systems, as it is inherently. Its main goal is a form of national rejuvenation, or bringing it back to a “glorious past”, often manifested through rejecting violence as a pointless and negative theme, instead glorifying it as a means of change for the desired outcome. By its inherent belief, it rejects all socialism and Marxist ideals. If the leader of that fascist regime is against…  Read more

A system designed to fail at its heart, one that intentionally singles out minority groups with historical injustice and then uses them as the propellant to bring it ever closer to totalitarianism.
