There needs to be at least one armed staff member who is trained to use a firearm in case of an event of an armed intruder entering the campus.

Look back on previous events. If there had been an armed teacher, granted with proper gun safety and drill training, those teachers could’ve protect not just their class, but all the students in the school.

A man with a gun in a school is in an extreme position of power to kill defenseless children for the future of the nation, Should we really just allow the shooter to go on a rampage without the risk of being shot themselves as soon as they step into the school with a weapon.

I believe as long as they are trusted and have proper training and a good mental stability then it should be okay as long as it’s like one or so.

It would be much safer if a threat came to the school if there were safe people in the school to use fire arms.

Teachers could be able to protect students against shooters as more school shooters are killing people, at least someone would be able to remove the threat in the time it takes the police to show up.

Teacher could not have it viable or around students and not have it loaded unless you need to load the weapon

They can defend their students when things go wrong and can at least be able to save life’s in possible, especially if they can be trained.

Teachers should have Firearms because if a shooter enters a school and the police don't respond in a timely manner. A teacher can stop a shooter probably faster if he or she plans right.

I think that Teachers should have fire Armes more of the fact to protect the students from possible school shooters, and to save more generations to come. But I do think teachers should take 2 more years of teaching about gun safety and understanding that guns are not the dagger people are.

I think that arming the teachers can be one of the best ways to keep students safe. There would be far less attacks on public schools if there was more protection.

A harvard study showed that more guns present in a society lead to less crime. Look at the town of kennesaw georgia in 1989, when they required the head of household to have a firearm, household bulglaries went down. Schools are a target of shootings because of the fact that it is 1. a gun free zone and 2. schools and society arent doing enough to promote the mental health and wellbeing of people, ESPECIALLY young men. If teachers can be properly trained and armed, shooters can be discouraged and prevented from causing major tragedies.

only teachers who have proper training and absolutely functional mental health should be able to carry including teachers of military background to protect our schools and children from possible harm.

I would allow teachers who choose to be trained as reserve police officers and allow the training to count as professional development. Teachers would have to pass the training and recieve certification. That way, armed law enforcement could be present in every school in America every minute of the school day.

In America, gun violence is a big problem. Many students and teachers live in fear of a school shooting. Allowing teachers to be armed won't decrease the rates of gun violence but It would cause a decrease in the number of deaths. I believe that at least 1 trained teacher or security guard should be armed in the case of a school shooting or even any danger that might be near to be potentially stopped.

I've never seen a teacher start a school shooting or participate in one. To prevent harm from one, teachers and guards should be allowed to carry!
