Hard drugs should still be illegal as they do more harm than good, but if they have medical benefits, decriminalise them. Also, increase funding for addiction and rehabilitation programmes.

 @B9RJDS4 from Michigan  answered…5mos5MO

Yes and no, there is obvious examples of more harmful than other drugs, personally I believe the legalisation of marijuana is not a bad thing but there should be harsher drug laws for things like cocaine or heroin.

 @9CJ3WW6 from Michigan  answered…3yrs3Y

No, and increase punishment for drug dealers and funding for addiction prevention and rehabilitation.

 @93QJDRV from Michigan  answered…4yrs4Y

Yes, drug use should be decriminalized, but dealing and manufacturing drugs should be illegal (yet not criminal).

 @93KJJDF from Michigan  answered…4yrs4Y

No, but we should legalize marijuana for medical use on top of increasing the funding for addiction prevention and rehabilitation.

 @93KG5GY from Michigan  answered…4yrs4Y

Yes, but only for drugs that are currently legal in states or have medicinal benefits.

 @93BKYVM from Michigan  answered…4yrs4Y

I say no we should pass tougher drug laws, increase funding and awareness for addiction prevention, and rehibilatation but not ban drugs that are used for medical purposes only.

 @8ZS2K4FCommunist from Michigan  answered…4yrs4Y

Decriminalise non-violent drug use, make it legal but discourage drug use and make rehab more accessible, as well as mandatory teaching in schools about drug use.

 @8WBNBV6 from Michigan  answered…5yrs5Y

Yes and increase funding for rehabilitation but far stricter on drug dealers

 @8SWHN7V from Michigan  answered…5yrs5Y

Yes, for drugs that can have good medical uses, and we should retroactively reduce sentences for those already serving times.

 @8S8M9TR from Michigan  answered…5yrs5Y

It depends, but yes. I think drug use is not an issue to be fixed by jail-time. There is more that goes into eliminating harmful drug use than just throwing people in prison.

 @8R25TV5 from Michigan  answered…5yrs5Y

Yes for medical marijuana, no for other drugs. Also, anyone who was charged with possession but non-violent usage should be freed.

 @8QJZ8Y9Libertarian from Michigan  answered…5yrs5Y

Yes. But regulate harder substances and provide safe sites for use along with help to get off of the substance. Reduce/pardon/release anyone convicted of nonviolent drug crimes, expunge the record, and create programs to help them return to the life that the drug war stole from them.

 @8PL9L8R from Michigan  answered…6yrs6Y

Yes, but not necessarily for the manufacture and distribution of drugs.

 @8PCRJ94 from Michigan  answered…6yrs6Y

only exeption is weed cause its getting legalized in many states and cause its a flower not a durg. everything else is extremely bad.

 @8MX6JK7 from Michigan  answered…6yrs6Y

 @8KVHXZR from Michigan  answered…6yrs6Y

Yes, we should provide help for those addicted, not putting them in jail.

 @8HDPWRH from Michigan  answered…6yrs6Y

I think there should be a limit of how much a person is allowed to buy to protect public health, but at the same time pull back on some restrictions.

 @8GJ49QJ from Michigan  answered…6yrs6Y

 @8G7ZTR5 from Michigan  answered…6yrs6Y

No, Large Drug Rings need to be broken up and that money needs to come back into the economy

 @8FF4X9K from Michigan  answered…6yrs6Y

Decriminalize drug use, but not dealing. Drug users should not be put in jails, only drug dealers. Retroactively reduce sentences on users.

 @8DZBY47 from Michigan  answered…6yrs6Y

Yes for some, like marijuana. Additionally, anyone in prison solely for charges regarding such drugs should be released as soon as the drug is decriminalized. For more dangerous drugs, resources for addiction prevention and rehabilitation should be increased, as well as offering such services rather than imprisoning people for possessing such drugs. This complex issue requires a complex solution.

 @8CQK2P9 from Michigan  answered…6yrs6Y

Yes, but only marijuana,and retroactively reduce jail sentences for those already serving time fo marijuana crimes

 @8CF673H from Michigan  answered…6yrs6Y

No, but lower sentencing for nonviolent crimes in general and for only possession charges

 @9CHT6BB from Michigan  answered…3yrs3Y

I think it is fine to decriminalize drug use for those of age as long as the risks of each drug are very clear and required to be taught in high school as well as increased funding for addiction prevention and rehabilitation.

 @9BFSQ45 from Michigan  answered…3yrs3Y

Yes. But arrest all drug dealers and confiscate drugs off of everyone in possession except for marijuana

 @kmcphaul6Socialist from Michigan  answered…5yrs5Y

Yes, but only marijuana. If they are abusing or using any other dug they should be sent to to a rehab facility instead of jail

 @8YJ6ZGYDemocrat from Michigan  answered…4yrs4Y

Yes, but still have some sort of punishment for drug dealers and increase funding for addiction prevention and rehabilitation.
