Yes, and but increase funding for addiction prevention and rehabilitation

Only if they hold a license to buy / use after taking a course on what they do to the body and can only buy at ABC type stores. Also have a high sales tax and set up regional clinics to help people who develop health issues free of charge funded by the sales tax.

 @B2JDL7TIndependent  from Florida  answered…4mos4MO

No, but increase funding for addiction, prevention, & rehabilitation, and legalise drugs that offer medicinal benefits such as marijuana

 @BB6RLYN from Florida  answered…4mos4MO

No, but (somewhat) decriminalize drugs that offer medicinal benefits such as marijuana, but only for medical reasons.

 @B9KY2R2 from Florida  answered…5mos5MO

This depends on the drug and what is meant by decriminalizing them. So we have seen Oragan do this and it didn't work. May be use is decriminalized but distribution is not and use in public is criminalized but not in your house or a place designated for use. Being high in public would be criminalized. Like being drunk in public.

  @DSNEPatriot  from Florida  answered…7mos7MO

Yes, for most but not all drugs. It is a health & wellness issue, not a criminal issue. Hard drugs and Fentanyl should be criminalized but others should only be taxed and regulated to support social programs and to ensure the safety of users. We should have supervised facilities for addicts to use and be monitored for their safety as well as help to get clean if they choose to take the first steps.

 @B7S3C3NDemocrat from Florida  answered…8mos8MO

I would say for many drugs that are not overlydangerous to yourself or others should be legalized those that are outright dangerous and damaging should be in general I believe we should be reducing sentences for drugs and drug dealing.

 @B7MDWG6 from Florida  answered…8mos8MO

Yes, but simultaneously funding for addiction, prevention, and rehabilitation should be made available

 @B6MV76F from Florida  answered…10mos10MO

Yes, the drug users should be sent to rehabilitation centers instead. Drug dealers and traffickers, however, should be sent to prison

 @B5Z7WBVSocialist from Florida  answered…12mos12MO

Not when it comes to DUIs. But the penalties are currently too severe. Misdemeanors and fines at the most should suffice. A person's life should not be ruined due to a lapse in youthful judgement.

 @B4CSJFP from Florida  answered…1yr1Y

Yes I am in favor of decriminalizing drug use in a stricter way than it is now because it is being used more illegally than it ever has been before and it would help reduce the manufacture, importation, possession, use and distribution of certain drugs based on the rank of their potential for abuse with the drug.

 @B2RJS2H from Florida  answered…1yr1Y

Yes, but only if they are regulated, as safe as possible for consumption, and reduce the sentences of those serving time due to drug related crimes.

 @B2BP465Peace and Freedom from Florida  answered…1yr1Y

No, but decriminalize drugs that have more positive medicinal benefits then negative effects. Tobacco, Alcohol and some prescription drugs cause more addiction,diseases, and deaths than some classified illegal drugs like marijuana. So maybe look at why some are allowed and others are not and the benefits shouldn’t be profiting from them.

 @B23ZZX9 from Florida  answered…2yrs2Y

Drugs with medical benefits should be decriminalized for obvious reasons. “Medically used” but anything else should still be criminally

 @9ZVVBNXDemocrat from Florida  answered…2yrs2Y

Yes, and heavily tax and regulate the decriminalized drugs so it can benefit the economy and fight the cartels. And also use the tax revenue to fund mental health services.

 @9ZRF5V6 from Florida  answered…2yrs2Y

Yes, for cannabis as it is less dangerous that alcohol, and retroactively reduce sentences for those already serving time for cannabis

 @9ZQPHSH from Florida  answered…2yrs2Y

Yes.
Even legalizing substances that can not be overdosed on or does not increase violent tendencies. Cannabis comes to mind being safer than alcohol in this context.

There are many RX drugs that are legal and should be illegal or more highly controlled

 @9YHCX6DIndependent from Florida  answered…2yrs2Y

Yes, for most but not all drugs (like ones with medicinal benefits), along with passing toucher drug laws and increasing funding for addiction prevention and rehabilitation

 @9Y6NKPT from Florida  answered…2yrs2Y

Yes, but in still make systems for people that suffer from drug use to become rehabilitated without being criminalized.

 @9Y349CC from Florida  answered…2yrs2Y

Marijuana should be legalized and people who are in jail for smoking Marijuana should be decriminalized but hard drugs like cocaine and xanax should be illegal.

 @9XD9WSLDemocrat from Florida  answered…2yrs2Y

I’m okay with certain drugs being decriminalized such as marijuana. I do think drugs like weed, if decriminalized, should retroactively reduce sentences for those already serving time. But I don’t think drugs in general should be decriminalized

 @9VT943D  from Florida  answered…2yrs2Y

Decriminalize drugs that objectively offer medicinal benefits such as marijuana AND retroactively ELIMINATE sentences for those already serving time for marijuana use and/or the selling of it.

 @9VKTM29 from Florida  answered…2yrs2Y

Yes, and levy significant taxes on all legalized drugs to provide an additional source of federal income.

 @9TS9WTDRepublican from Florida  answered…2yrs2Y

It entirely depends on the types of drugs and their side effects. This question is too broad to answer with a simple yes or no.

 @9TG4HMQ from Florida  answered…2yrs2Y

There are some drugs were laws can be lessened and some were it needs to be increased by a whole lot.

 @@9T8LYRN  from Florida  answered…2yrs2Y

no, I'm in favor legalizing and regulating like alcohol drugs like marijuana, shrooms, acid, and general psychedelic's, that have been shown in some study's to potentially have medicinal purposes. This would also include recreational use hence the alcohol like regulations.

 @9SF8ZL2 from Florida  answered…2yrs2Y

Any drug that causes a person to not be in full control mentally as they would not taku g this drug is a danger to themself and possibly others. There's a thin line between drivers on the highways. But Marijuana does help people suffering. So this is hard to simply say. Most want it decriminalized to buy,sale use recreational. I don't like that it would cause people to over use but they'll get it if they want it it will just be real easy to get a d kids and grand kids at schools need to be checked over sure it's not brought into them by other students. No teachers or other staff allowed to use it either. It's not a simple yes or no answer.

 @9RTMHYS from Florida  answered…2yrs2Y

Yes, we should legalize, tax, and regulate the use of most drugs, but keep extremely dangerous drugs like fentanyl illegal.

 @9RBN2M3 from Florida  answered…2yrs2Y

For marijuana and certain psychedelics yes. Most other drugs however are problematic and should involve more rehabilitation programs instead of prison time for non-violent offenses.

 @9R9F5RZ from Florida  answered…2yrs2Y

We should decriminalize medicinal drugs such as marijuana and work towards reducing sentencing for anyone arrested under marijuana charges.

 @9QZ6TVK from Florida  answered…2yrs2Y

Yes, but, I believe they should be not only be decriminalized, but, regulated and taxed. Correct dosage to prevent overdose, and a tax like any consumer goods.

 @9LH6GCQ from Florida  answered…2yrs2Y

yes, only medically important drugs. We need to increase funding for addiction and prevention and rehabilitation though.

 @9L5N4LR from Florida  answered…2yrs2Y

No, but offer more funding for addiction prevention and rehabilitation as well as lessening the punishment for those fighting addiction. Also, decriminalize marijuana and reverse sentences on those currently serving for its use

 @9K7DNP4 from Florida  answered…2yrs2Y

Leave this up to states and local governments, personally I would like medical Marijuana but strict penalties for those who do stronger drugs.

 @9JGF9J7Libertarian from Florida  answered…2yrs2Y

Punish drug dealers of deadly drugs like fentanyl but offer treatment options to drug users in exchange for avoiding jail time

 @9JC633B from Florida  answered…2yrs2Y

Marijuana and mushrooms should be legalized, it has health benefits, hard drugs such as cocaine, heroin, fentanyl, meth, and abused prescription drugs should remain illegal.

 @93XWXTYRepublican  from Florida  answered…2yrs2Y

Yes, but make them only legal in your own private property and distribution needs to be heavily regulated.

 @9HSMSVL from Florida  answered…2yrs2Y

No, but the laws should punish the dealers not the users. And drugs that provide medica benefits should be legalized, such as marijuana.

 @9HLGDR4Independent  from Florida  answered…3yrs3Y

"Drugs" are not the problem. People who abuse "drugs" are the problem. Remove the financial incentives to distribute and penalize the abusers and their actions, and the problem will go away.

 @9FC3Y9T  from Florida  answered…3yrs3Y

 @9DD2T8C from Florida  answered…3yrs3Y

 @9SWRF4R from Florida  answered…2yrs2Y

No but decriminalize drugs with medicinal use, hold dealers of toxic/laced drugs criminally liable for overdose deaths whenever possible and increase funding for substance abuse programs.

 @9KLLSFBRepublican  from Florida  answered…2yrs2Y

 @9D5T77T from Florida  answered…3yrs3Y

 @93G4RLK from Florida  answered…4yrs4Y

Yes, and retoractively reduce sentences and provide centers where the drugs can be aquired and used safely and provide adequate means of seeking legitimate help.

 @92QK5BW from Florida  answered…4yrs4Y

No I am not in favor of decriminalizing drug use I do not think drugs should be used recreationally and I do not think that we should sanction recreational drug use of any kind even if it's for profit and weren't to increase tax revenue the national debt in this country will never be paid the influx of recreational drug use and profiting off of people being intoxicated for the sake of paying off the national debt is absurd I am in agreement with all of the following "no" rhetorics we should pass tougher drug laws we should increase punishment for drug dealers we should not…  Read more

Regardless, decriminalize drugs that offer medicinal benefits such as marijuana (but still prohibit their use while driving and criminalize people who intentionally get others addicted)

 @92HZZ4C from Florida  answered…4yrs4Y

Decriminalize the use of drugs such as marijuana because it has a beneficial medicinal use and reduces related sentences. Decriminalize the use of naturally sourced "drugs".

 @928ZYQM from Florida  answered…4yrs4Y

Yes and require all illicit drugs to be regulated through a federal health system. Also all addictions should be treated though a federal health system.

 @924FQ8R from Florida  answered…4yrs4Y

Marijuana should not be illegal, alcohol and cigarettes kill more people directly than marijuana. People die buying marijuana while people die consuming alcohol and cigarettes.
