We don’t have to agree with everyone in the UN to be a part of the UN. It’s better to all involved to continue our alliance.

The effectiveness and efficiency of the UN have been questioned multiple times. Plus, it’s not guaranteed that being part of the UN would prevent wars. Instead, the focus should perhaps be on diplomatic relations directly between countries. How do you see this perspective?

The United Nations is one of the main platforms of international influence that the United Sates has access to. Our membership is also a symbol of a spirit of international cooperation and leaving it would reflect badly on us. Additionally the UN is an important mediator since we would likely play a large part in the next global conflict, should one occur. If the League of Nations had been as strong as the UN, it is possible that WWII would not have occurred.

The UN is a vital part to international stability and structure, if the US were to leave it and remove its HQ from the US, it would most likely become ineffective and fall apart after some years like the League of Nations did.

My best argument is like the united states united we stand divided we fall. As a group of nations have similar values they should be united, if everyone is on their own and no national groups are formed war could be easier to start among those countries.

If we disband with the U.N. we will lose a lot of trade routes, and our economy will fail. This does not sound like a good plan to me.

The more allies that we have the stronger we are. Why should we remove something that is aiding us in two ways and is not doing us any harm?
