How would relationships evolve if we could communicate through thought alone thanks to neural implants?

 @9JQMYFH from Washington answered…3mos3MO

The idea of communication between individuals using a conscious connection, would violate the fundamentals of human nature. Similar to Frankenstein's story, we would be acting against the laws of nature.

If students could learn by downloading information to their brains, what would become of the traditional education system?

 @9L9SVBFanswered…1mo1MO

There would be no schools and no education systems, people wouldn't be able to learn social cues by going to school and they wouldn't learn how to think about things and problem solve.

 @9L9SMY9 from Michigan answered…1mo1MO

I don't like this idea although it is kinda smart but its a joke smart not something that should happen honestly.

 @9L9SKZManswered…1mo1MO

The traditional education system would become obsolete and cease to exist over time.

Do you think it's ethical to use technology to eliminate human imperfections?

 @9HGMKBH from Ohio answered…5mos5MO

If a human wishes to improve themselves and it doesn’t harm others I don’t see how we can call that choice unethical. Mandating this be down to unwilling participants is of course unethical but simply having the option doesn’t strike me as unethical no.

 @9HGMWVBProgressive  from Texas answered…5mos5MO

It’s not ethical but it shouldn’t be immediately frowned upon. It also shouldn’t be taken advantage of.

 @9HGMJD3 from Illinois answered…5mos5MO

 @9HGMZCZ from Wisconsin answered…5mos5MO

I don't think its ethical because although using the internet for research and learning more about yourself I don't think it should be used to try and cure your imperfections.

How would society change if we could enhance our physical abilities beyond natural limits?

 @9H9Q9J3Progressiveanswered…6mos6MO

We would be divided. Many issues would be solved, such as mental disabilities, physical disabilities, and diseases that would eventually detriment your body. However, it wouldn't stop there, people would change themselves just to satisfy their insecurities. On top of the fact that it wouldn't be cheap, it would create a new class system between people, furthering increasing the divide among people.

No more using robots to replace work, since many people would enhance their abilities. Society would be more work based and less technology.

 @ISIDEWITHasked…4mos4MO

In a society where everyone is enhanced, what do you think would be the new measure of success?

 @9J36QKJanswered…4mos4MO

I don't think the school will succeed because it has one race and when other races look at the school they are not going to like it because they have no other race.

 @9J36NHS from New York answered…4mos4MO

That should be defined by a court best representing knowledge on the subject.

 @ISIDEWITHasked…5mos5MO

Would the ability to upload our consciousness to a computer preserve our humanity or redefine it?

 @9H8YJ5X from California answered…6mos6MO

It would redefine our humanity as selfless humans who only think about themselves.

 @9H8YH5C from Georgia answered…6mos6MO

I believe that it would redefine it. Humanity needs to constantly evolve with new generations of people, and if people were preserved forever, it would always be the same.

Is it morally acceptable to aim for human immortality through technological means?

 @9H4HTSFanswered…6mos6MO

Aiming for human immortality is not necessarily a moral issue. It is an issue of technology and science attempting to find answers to the human situation.

 @9C7GHWZConstitution  from New York answered…6mos6MO

Trying to achieve Immortality is probably the worst thing you could do to yourself.

Should everyone have access to technology that can enhance intelligence, or would this create a new social divide?

 @9H98L8N from Delaware answered…6mos6MO

Having access to technology that can change one´s intelligence should be welcome to everyone regardless of class, race, gender, etc. Keeping this kind of technology within specific groups would create another social divide within our nation.

What would friendship mean in a world where you could virtually connect with anyone's mind at any time?

 @9L67ZYQ from California answered…2mos2MO

It would still mean a lot because we would grow as one since we would be more connected to each other.

 @9L67NRZ from California answered…2mos2MO

Friendship would be more easily available but also more intrusive in this world because you could connect to your friends' minds and thoughts which they might not want you to hear.

 @9JH7GBYanswered…4mos4MO

Memory is already flawed, I see no problem second guessing myself currently. Although if corporations/ government controlled the process I would second guess it as propaganda.
