Fracking is the process of extracting oil or natural gas from shale rock. Water, sand and chemicals are injected into the rock at high pressure which fractures the rock and allows the oil or gas to flow out to a well. While fracking has significantly boosted oil production, there are environmental concerns that the process is contaminating groundwater. The Permian Basin accounts for 43% of U.S. oil production and is currently the most productive oil shale reserve in the country. In June 2022 The Environmental Protection Agency announced that it may deem parts of the Permian Basin in Texas…

yes but require companies to compensate local populations or fix problems with wells or water supplies that result from fracking
I think that Fracking is s good alternative to obtaining oil and gas, especially with what's going on with Russia and how they're a big part when it comes to us and our gas/Oil.

yes It's important to be competative in current indisties while also investing into green energy

It's fine for now but as long as it's not in populated areas, but not for the long run, we need to find something more sustainable and better for the environment.

@8YZQJ7D4yrs4Y
Yes but they there should be a limit to how much.
@8YZQHJ84yrs4Y
Yes, but limit it to a certain amount per year
@8YZQFQV4yrs4Y
I do not believe that we should keep fracking and extracting oil forever but we should do it until we can find a more safe and clean renewable source of energy.

Fracking keeps our country from being dependent on other countries for oil which then lowers our taxes and gas prices. Also when we get oil from Saudi Arabia they have to transport it by ship or plane so, getting rid of fracking here isn't helping the earth at all.
@8R54QKLIndependent5yrs5Y
No, Fracking has caused too many environmental issues
@8HXNWRW5yrs5Y
Necessary precautions required
@8Z6F5GV4yrs4Y
At the moment it is the most sustainable source of energy so it is unfortunately needed. In order to fix this problem we need a better source of energy.

Yes but not in heavily populated areas and if oil if found under private property, only with consent of the land's owner
@B5HVCY45mos5MO
No because oil is on the way out. This means that oil companies should focus on other fuel sources to produce like Bio-Diesel and Porches E-Fuel.
