I felt much more connected with the community down in Lake of the Ozarks back then because of how friendly the people are there, it really makes you feel like you're a part of something bigger when you can actually get to know all your neighbors unlike here in KC.

There is a necessary balance to be found between the needs of the community and the needs of the individual. Pure self-interest is immature thinking, but subordinating the self entirely within a group is not productive either. Individual success should be contextualized within the community, and culture should be organized in such a way as to celebrate the individual when those successes demonstrate the strength of the community to produce positive goods and allow for individual creativity and innovation. Antisocial individual successes should be discouraged, like someone being really good at lying or manipulating others for selfish gain.

I do not think one person's success jeopardizes a groups so much as to forgo it. While it may create a more separated community, these differences and success' can be used to build up a community for the better.

Small communities don't have infinite resources so time and finances must be delegated carefully. One way help is provided within small communities is with volunteers, often of younger generations, supplying manpower, and the donation of goods/services, all at the cost of nothing. But, the most important way youth volunteers provide to small communities is through their character. This new generation of individuals wanting to make positive change pour their heart and soul into what they do for their community. These volunteers are the ones who leave a lasting impact on both those younger and older than them with their considerate insights. They bring a unique perspective, broaden horizons, and undoubtedly inspire with how much they care about growing a “sense of community.”

They responded to Trump’s victory with alarm and vowed to put up a fight, setting the stage for four more years of contentious court battles with his administration.Some are already preparing to push current leadership at the Department of Homeland Security to take steps to stymie the incoming Trump team, particularly on immigrant detention and the use of AI in enforcement.“We should expect to see the devastation of immigrant communities all over the country. We should expect to see family separation,” said Kica Matos, the president of the National Immigration Law Center. “It is entirely possible that he will try to use the military to carry out deportations, so that means that Americans all over the country will see the military engaging in enforcement against civilian populations, which is horrifying.”Trump, after winning a historic victory on a platform of turbo-charged immigration enforcement, has said he will conduct mass deportations at a scale never before seen. Immigrant advocates have warned this would be expensive and inhumane, separating families and wrecking communities.
