While there are already federal agencies that are tasked with this, their funding, and by extension, equipment and training are severely lacking. mobilizing the military for nonmilitary actions would be an overreach of the structure of civilian law enforcement now well established. While there is historical context for mobilizing the local militia for law enforcement, there are better methods that can be utilized.
