Senior Biden administration officials have told both sides in the negotiations that the White House is open to making it more difficult to gain asylum in the United States, according to four people familiar with the matter. One such measure would impose a stricter definition for migrants to meet when they claim they need refuge because they fear persecution in their home countries.
But Republicans say that is not enough. They want the United States to impose policies that would make most migrants ineligible for asylum and require them to wait in Mexico until their case is processed.

The majority of the homeless are that way by choice. Our taxes don’t need to pay for them not to be responsible adults. SOME of the homeless need help. The majority need to learn to adult and stop waiting on other people to take care of them. It’s called adulting. Same for drugs. It’s not the governments job to get people clean. It IS the governments task to stop allowing all these drugs swarming into our borders.

The bottom line is that the US border is completely unsecured and that needs to change RIGHT NOW. The policy of letting people enter and then simply letting them roam freely around the country when most of them never show up for their court dates is insane. Further it is not the job of the US to admit anyone and everyone who doesn't like the countries they already live in. They should strive to improve those countries rather than, in many cases, brining the problems of those countries with them here.
