How do you think relationships would change if mutual support was the societal norm instead of self-reliance?

there would be more group cooperation and help to one another rather than avoiding strangers and sticking to yourself.

This question is irrelevant and impractical as it would require a complete societal switch in order to change the societal norm to mutual support. The US is an individualistic society, but this is suggesting that it becomes a collectivist society.
