The climate crisis is just that, a crisis! There are threshold concerns that arise here. If we do not meet a certain threshold for a reduction in carbon emissions, then there will be an existential crisis (or at least, that's the line taken by those concerned with it). So, why do anything at all if my own actions are not likely to make us meet the threshold?
