The rich are taxed for most of their income and the poor are taxed for less.

 @9VBRB6S from California  answered…1yr1Y

That future would have to include an ideal relative tax bracket model, where taxes increase as exponentially as the wealth disparity does in the US.

It may look like rent being cheaper cars being cheaper for the poor and groceries being cheaper

 @9VBNQR9 from California  answered…1yr1Y

I can imagine a future where taxes have minimized social inequality and it would be more fair for everyone.

 @9VBJPJ9Republican from Nevada  answered…1yr1Y

The future may have less of a disparity in income and opportunity for people.

 @9VBGGW8 from Kansas  answered…1yr1Y

The rich will pay more which will help provide more social services to the poor.

 @9VBFHBXLibertarian answered…1yr1Y

I dont think taxes will ever solve social inequality, there always has been and always will be those who fair better in society but it is generally on the individual to better themselves and their life. Taxes definitely relieve social inequality, but only to a limited degree.

 @9VBCRJ9 from Pennsylvania  answered…1yr1Y

The rich are taxed to the point where it is unfavorable to be rich beyond a certain point and the poor are not trapped in a loop of being unemployed being slightly favorable to being employed as a means of survival

 @9VBC852 from Minnesota  answered…1yr1Y

Yeah I can see where taxes have been minimized. That future has Trump as president.

 @9VBBP43 from New York  answered…1yr1Y

I cannot. Social inequality has been around so long that it seems like there will always be an issue.

 @9VB2ZRC from Pennsylvania  answered…1yr1Y

I do, because if we tax the billionaires and millionaires more, we can redistribute the wealth to the lower classes in the form of social programs and better-funded education.

 @9VB2RZW from Pennsylvania  answered…1yr1Y

It would be unbalanced because the government uses these taxes to provide things like healthcare, but people would have to pay lass.

 @9VB2QHFRepublican from Florida  answered…1yr1Y

For taxes to have minimized social inequality, they would have to be a fixed percentage of every individual's income. This may be a broad concept, but it may prevent certain loopholes and financial inequality when it comes to taxes.

 @9VB2FVS from Indiana  answered…1yr1Y

government funding to assist lower income, increase on the top brackets to reduce the disparity in income

 @9VB29ZK from Indiana  answered…1yr1Y

 @9V9ZYMDPeace and Freedom from Michigan  answered…1yr1Y

It would look like as if there's an increase for some people who does taxes and the amount of taxes that stay the same or some that decrease.

 @9V9ZCSK from New Jersey  answered…1yr1Y

In the future, taxes could help make things fairer by making sure everyone has access to good schools, healthcare, and jobs. Rich people might pay more in taxes, which could be used to help those who need it most. This could create a world where everyone has the same chances to succeed, no matter how much money they have.

 @9V9GHYH from California  answered…1yr1Y

I’m not sure honestly, taxes aren’t a problem in of themselves, the gap between the high class and middle is so high that I just don’t see it in my life time. There’d half to be a paradigm shift in how we handle multi billionaires as a nation.

 @9V9QJ87Independent from Florida  answered…1yr1Y

I believe that the tax rates will rapidly go higher meaning that the people with higher contributes a larger percentage of their earnings.

 @9V9PHXWWorkers from Nevada  answered…1yr1Y

I wish that happened now, it'd put less of a burden on my mum's poor back, and my future self ofc.

 @9V9M2ZK from Texas  answered…1yr1Y

 @9V9CHT5 from Washington  answered…1yr1Y

No because our government was built by the wealthy in secret to defend the wealthy. They were supposed to revise the articles of confederation in Philadelphia. Then overstepped the mandate by writing a new constitution in secret without public input. The rich are untouchable at this point without radical change here and the countries that shelter their profits. We need to militarily invade anyone who is allowing the wealthy to avoid their tax burden. Like that Prospera project in South America or Dubai or the Cayman Islands or the Swiss. It would honestly be taxing the rich and helping the poor, it sounds bad but that's what needs to happen to minimize social inequality.

 @58F2DNH answered…1yr1Y

I think taxing the rich more is something that needs to happen. Not to the point where they lose motivation to help improve the world with their ideas and inventions but they could certainly pay more than they are now. We could also take a look at how the taxes are used and make sure we are doing our due diligence to use the funds wisely.

 @9V98DKQ from California  answered…1yr1Y

Taxes should vary on how much of an income you make, a lower class family or person should not have to pay so much and try to make ends meet while people who are more wealthy don't get taxed enough.

Taxes to me, should vary based on assets and income as otherwise there'd be a large gap in-between social classes if the extreme rich are being taxed as much as a struggling family.

A society in which America is a lot more like Norway, High taxes granted, but those taxes go to social programs that help the average American a lot, public transportation, healthcare, and happiness is maximized.

The increase of taxes on rich individuals is a good way to raise tax dollars for government spending, and is a good way of reducing wealth inequality.

Perhaps the wealthier you are, the slightly larger percentage of your income should go towards taxes. While poor people struggle to afford necessities, wealthy individuals can contribute more and should be obligated to do so at times.

 @9V8JXMXLibertarian from Michigan  answered…1yr1Y

No - You can't use taxes to minimize social inequality because it will disincentivize work, and the US will end up 3rd world eventually with no development of new technology. Quality of life will steadily decrease until we become a dictatorship.

 @9V8JP8P from Maine  answered…1yr1Y

There would be much less taxes, compare NH with no taxes and another state with average taxes and put them together.

 @9V8JMD7 from Connecticut  answered…1yr1Y

More equitable taxing of the rich and distributive wealth where the top 1 % doesn’t have all the money and resources

 @9V7X667 from Florida  answered…1yr1Y

In a future where taxes effectively minimize social inequality, society would offer universal access to healthcare and education, ensuring everyone has the same opportunities to succeed. Affordable housing would be widely available, reducing homelessness, while fair wages and job creation programs would help lift people out of poverty. Taxes would fund robust social safety nets, protecting citizens from economic downturns and personal crises. Additionally, investments in sustainable industries would drive growth and provide new opportunities, creating a more equitable distribution of wealth and improving overall quality of life.

No, I can just imagine the Biden administration making it harder to do anything because if we do get Kamala Harris, she won't do jack squat of what she actually said she would. I know this because she hasn't done anything in the last 4 and if she did, it didn't help us so why would we believe her.

 @9V58LGNWomen’s Equality  from Michigan  answered…1yr1Y

Maybe where the richer you are, the (not too big, only slightly) larger percent of your money has to go to taxes. Poor people need to worry about eating, rich people are able to give more, and should be required to do so sometimes.

 @9V53GTR from Texas  answered…1yr1Y

Taxes can be used to refund the public. The taxes should mostly go back into the community so everyone can be helped and taken care of.
