I would feel less than. If I have served my time and returned to society why should my vote be stripped as if I don't exist at all?

 @9X6V9YY from Wisconsin  answered…11mos11MO

It would depend on the crime, being permanently barred from voting due to something like a speeding ticket would not be right, but if you were a convicted murderer or other such felony, then you should not be allowed to vote

It would suck, and I would want to be able to still vote. People can change.

no one should lose their right to vote based on a criminal conviction; this incentivizes jailing political rivals and voting blocks

Depends on the crime and how mentally sound they are after prison whether they should be able to vote or not.

 @9VT7CFXDemocrat from Texas  answered…12mos12MO

I would feel undervalued and suppressed if I would not be able to voice my opinion after I have payed for my mistake.

Voting is a right of citizens that criminal record should not revoke that access

 @9YFMWMP from California  answered…11mos11MO

Losing the right to vote because of a past mistake would feel deeply frustrating, especially if I had already served my punishment, as it would prevent me from fully participating in society and shaping decisions that impact my future.

 @9YFL57N from California  answered…11mos11MO

It would make me feel that it would be fair to lose the right to vote, even after serving a sentence, because I have to follow the rules.

Of course I wouldn't like it. But sometimes it is necessary to sacrifice individual rights for the common good.
