How is it different?

How is marital rape different from non-marital rape (because that's what the word is. 'Non consenting sex' is just rape. If we're going to talk about it, we should use the proper vocabulary instead of trying to make the crimes the perpetrator is committing sound 'less serious')? I'm genuinely curious as to what led you to this conclusion.
