Oh boy, this is a beautiful display of word salad. Equal parts religious guilt-tripping, historical revisionism, and barely coherent rambling. A true masterpiece of moral grandstanding, delivered with all the grace of Russian Bot trying to write a sermon.

Let’s break this down, shall we?

“Jesus didn’t die for this.”

Right, because when Jesus was up there on the cross, he was definitely thinking about 21st-century same-sex marriage laws. Not, you know, forgiving sinners, preaching love, and condemning hypocritical religious elites. Nope, he was just sitting there like, &ld…  Read more

We were made to love one another.

Jesus and God love us all, even if we ‘sin’ by loving the same gender. We were made this way, God must have wanted us to love one another. God will still love us, Jesus still died for us and they understand and encourage we love whoever we love.

I believe is Jesus Christ. I’m queer. Jesus died for everybody. He loves everybody. He made me this way and he still loves me.

Galatians 2:20 - “I now live in the flesh I live by the faith of the Son of God, who loved me, and gave his life for me”

John 13:34-35: “A new commandment i give unto you, That ye love one another; as I have loved you, that ye also love one another. By this shall all men know that ye are my disciples, if ye have loved one to another.”

not only is denying same-sex marriage unconstitutional, Jesus literally told all his followers to love one another, no matter what.

The Lord didn't make you that way. He gave every human free will to choose but doesn't support the sin. Yes he does love everybody. Jesus loves you.

Keep the religion out of this. It has no basis or standing to these conversations.

As long as there are people like you who are held back by 2-3000 year old ideologies, we can't move forward.

"The world was more perfect back them"

Yes this is why so many people were persecuted for no real reason and wars were started about petty differences in religion (30 years war). Yes that was so much better I agree.

People never seem to have the full context for the history they like to quote or fantasize of.

Forcing someone who is not religious to adhere to religious laws that do not harm other people does nothing but make them despise religion. I’m Christian, but you forget God gave us free will, the whole reason sin is a thing. Regardless of your beliefs, you have no right to force them on others, all that does is push them further away from God.

 @BDDQFZ2 from New Jersey  commented…2mos2MO

"Regardless of your beliefs, you have no right to force them on others" is the same reason why you can't force marriage to only be between a man and a woman. Gay marriage does not affect your rights to get married as a straight person but limiting marriage to heterosexual couples forces your beliefs onto everyone.

I'M NOT CHRISTIAN! Plenty of American's AREN'T Christian.

I don't believe in your god. I don't believe in Jesus.

Freedom of Religion protects ME from people like you who would force your religion into law. You are welcome to believe what you want, but do not force it into law.

That’s what makes this country great. You’re allowed to believe in Jesus and God. It’s encouraged even. But the problem arises when policymakers and their constituents try to control the lives of people who believe otherwise. Stay in your lane. Go to your church. And let the rest of us live our lives. After all, was it not God himself that gave us free will to decide for ourselves? Taking that away is the same as telling him he was wrong.

It is clear you are not a constitutionalist, as you would understand the establishment clause. I am going to assume you do not follow legislative development because of your lack of knowledge of precedents set by the usage of said clause.

I am also going to respectfully assume you do not believe in individual freedom, or the first amendment, which gives the right to follow or not follow any religion, with public safety barriers in mind, as with anything.

Marriage, in America, is a legal contract. Marriage is a defining commitment of the couple to the government. Do you believe the government…  Read more

Whether Jesus died for this is irrelevant to the question at hand. The United States Supreme Court consists of nine Christians who are obligated, under the Establishment Clause, to make decisions without regard for their religion. 535 Federal legislators follow a similar obligation, as does the President.

The only argument against same-sex marriage is religious. Your argument is not only unconstitutional but unpatriotic.

Dude, this is politics, not religion. If you have to complain about religion, please go complain to your local Ring Neighborhood group.
