This is based on the idea that while it helps present time, the making of for example a Tesla needs lithium based batteries which longevity causes more harm and if the battery does fail it doesn't turn into a fix and resolve situation but a whole new battery must be created. Unlike with motor based vehicles such as a day to day gasoline or diesel fuel vehicle the equipment is redly made day to day and can be reused or maintained constantly.
