If gun control is raised, along with the government's possession of weaponry, gun based violence in the USA would be at an all time low.

This is, however, against the 2nd Amendment. People are legally allowed to own guns. It is understandable why someone would think this, but people need to defend themselves in case of an emergency. Instead, there could be restrictions on who can own a gun. For example, the government may not allow people convicted with a felony to own one. But overall, people that know how to be responsible should be able to own a gun, meaning gun control should not be raised significantly.

I disagree. There can be many illegal ways of getting guns to use for wrong reasons and stricter rules or any sort of gun control will not be able to stop that. For example drugs have been illegal for a very long time now but people still get them illegally and the rate of drug overdose is very high especially in the US.

Agreed. Stricter gun control, combined with limiting civilian access to high-powered weaponry, has been shown to reduce gun violence because it decreases the availability of firearms to those most likely to misuse them, while ensuring that the government retains the tools necessary for public safety.
