I disagree I think it is good to have surveillance in certain areas and it does not violate personal privacy.

I agree, as this same technology is used to monitor, control, and scare the citizens of China into obedience, and their government is totalitarian, a dictator disguised as something more. the USA should not have the same system, as it invades our rights of privacy and could cause dozens of unwarranted searches, violating the constitution.

I agree; there are plenty of ways our lives are already monitored that many are unaware of. Especially on the internet, I hate to think of what a data breach could cause for people attempting to remain anonymous in the name of personal safety.

 @B8RRJZP from West Virginia  agreed…7mos7MO

It can but it is very unlikely to turn that way. We need surveillance everywhere there's too much crime to not.

there are two main problems with mass facial recognition, one there are people that have identical twins. Two that would be a bad idea because it would be destroying the right to stay unknown, it's not like people are buying alcohol everywhere they go. It'd just be a waste of money.

I agree that mass recognition surveillance is an invasion of privacy. While it can be helpful to identify potential criminals, this requires the government to know everyone's face and name.

I dont want my goverment spying on me in my everyday life. Facial recognition will surely be used by our goverment for things not in our peoples intrest.

 @B8RQRTYDemocrat from Idaho  agreed…7mos7MO

I agree with this sentiment; mass facial recognition takes away from any semblance of privacy, it's invasive, and it's predatory of the government to implement this.

In ruins the premise of America being a free country where people can do what they want as it is within the law

 @B8TNSGV from Idaho  agreed…7mos7MO

I agree, mass surveillance in any form creates a sense of fear that anything could be wrong. It disables people's ability to practice free speech and freedom of action while simultaneously increasing the risk of misuse.

 @B8VCGVY from California  disagreed…7mos7MO

You are correct but think about the benefits, it could stop a bunch of crimes and thefts in the area. What if you could catch a guy all because of Facial Recognition, that would be great.

 @B8SML2B from Kansas  disagreed…7mos7MO

It would be nice to know who committed the crime, but instead, we investigate for weeks and months, and the person can get away even faster

 @B8WW36R from West Virginia  agreed…7mos7MO

I agree. Facial recognition is too close to authoritarianism and the governments of China, North Korea, and the fictional Oceania for comfort.

 @B8SH8N3 from Washington D.C.  agreed…7mos7MO

Mass facial recognition surveillance should be rejected because it turns public spaces into zones of constant identification.
