Israel is a terrible ally of the United States: they strike enemies unilaterally expecting us to back them up, they oppress Palestinians which damages our international reputation, they rely on US taxpayers for military assistance while doing nothing for us in return, their government is way too comfortable putting their finger on the scale in US elections. There is no reason to reward this.
