Criminals break laws and will there will still be killings with guns weather it is illegal or legal to own a gun. A gun just gives you a chance to defend yourself.

I agree, too many people are dying because of gun violence, which is sadly, honorable guns should be banned, people should talk situations out.

If the U.S. had more gun restrictions then quite a few of the main reasons a person might need to "stand their ground" would be obsolete.

you know theres still break ins and robberies in canada and other countries without guns?? Murder and crime is world wide...

 @B9HSMW4No Labels from Arizona  agreed…5mos5MO

I agree with this statement because in other countries with stricter gun laws, there are less shootings that occur so with more gun restrictions, people can then actually feel safe within a space.

If we had more gun control, civillians on the streets wouldnt have to worfy about their safety as well as schools

People will find guns, make guns, or end up having a gun or deadly weapon if they want it either way. same with drugs, people will find them either way. The best way is to have detailed documentation, and make it difficult or a lengthly process to get it. I think there is a huge lack in both of those factors based off of personal experience.

I agree, research suggests states with stronger gun safety laws consistently experience lower rates of gun-related deaths, including homicides and suicides. For instance, children and teenagers are reported to be half as likely to die by guns in states with the strongest laws compared to those with the weakest.

 @B9G6HBC from Georgia  agreed…6mos6MO

I do agree. If you are in a safe space in general, there is no need to stand your ground. If you do feel the need to "stand your ground," then you are not in a safe space.

I completely agree with this statement. I believe there should be more gun restrictions since guns are more likely to be used against us rather than as defense.

 @B9G5C7N from Washington  agreed…6mos6MO

I think there should be way more gun restrictions, make it so that it's a hassle to own a gun so less people own guns.

 @B9GCTXX from Idaho  agreed…6mos6MO

I agree if we have more gun restriction and more requirements then I think the crime rate with guns would go down a fair amount

 @B9G9VF6 from California  agreed…6mos6MO

You could still find yourself in a bad situation because there are still people who buys guns illegally and have the intent to use them in the wrong manner.

 @B9G5PJ5Workers from Missouri  agreed…6mos6MO

i agree guns should be WAY harder to purchase than they are now i beleive people sould get full background checks on them before purchasing a gun

 @B9G5JM4 from California  agreed…6mos6MO

"Stand your ground" will still be relevant even without gun control, but the number of times it is being used or a problem would certainly decrease, as guns are a large cause for deaths, even if "stand your ground" is used improperly.

 @B9G5R6LDemocrat from Washington  agreed…6mos6MO

I agree with this because most of the time you have to stand your ground is against other people with guns and the guns can be problamatic more than helpful.
