While I can somewhat agree with this statement, I believe that the choice should be left to the woman with the child, seeing as there are chances of the mother not being financially stable enough to care for the child. After all, it is the woman that is caring this child and the decision should be hers and only hers. Victim or not, it is the woman's body and no one should be forced to have a child if they do not want to or are not ready.

I agree that all human life is important, and that is why I believe in self-determination, and that it should be the child-bearer's choice whether or not they want to continue a pregnancy, regardless of the reason for the pregnancy.

You are not entitled to have everyone have kids. No one should have to go through a pregnancy if they don’t want to. Even if you’re careful, accidents happen that can lead to an unintentional pregnancy, and that pregnancy should be able to be terminated if the parents don’t believe they’re fit. Not everyone should have kids and that’s ok. In fact, it’d probably be better for everyone if less people were having kids at all.

I agree that it should be allowed for the benefit of both the mother and the unborn child in cases of rape etc, but saying it is wrong is something I do not agree with because it is putting someone's choice down, you never know reasons behind someone's abortion and you cannot judge.

 @B9QY4JXDemocrat from Minnesota  disagreed…5mos5MO

Abortion should be a choice for everyone. If you don’t agree with it, don’t get an abortion. Abortion may be essential health care for mothers in danger, suffering through miscarriages, facing rape, etc.

 @B9SR5GH from Nevada  disagreed…5mos5MO

It's not fair to pick and choose who we believe is qualified enough to make choices for their own bodies. At the end of the day, bodily autonomy is important to preserve. And that right goes to the mother first before the fetus. I believe abortion should be allowed regardless of the situation because it is affecting someone's body and health directly. Someone should not need my approval to have a say in their own medical decisions.

 @B9P4JWG from Colorado  disagreed…5mos5MO

If you force a woman to have a child that she does not want, then that could potentially bring more harm to the child. This is because the mother might not have the resources to take care of said child, giving them a harder life full of struggle. The mother could end up putting the child into foster care, and that can be really traumatizing for a lot of people.

I think anyone should have the right to make the decisions on what to do with their bodies and no one else can tell them what they can or can't do.

 @B9QBL5G from Montana  disagreed…5mos5MO

All human life is important, which is why a woman should have the choice to have a child or not as it is a life long investment.

 @B9RY2CG from Iowa  disagreed…5mos5MO

Abortion will happen if it's legal or not. Forcing women to birth to children they can't afford/don't want can cause serious mental, physical, and emotional harm to a child after it's born.

 @B9R8BY3 from New York  disagreed…5mos5MO

I think that all women should have the right to determine whether or not they will carry a child, as it is their body, and it is their right to decide for themselves what is best for them.

 @B9R83NSDemocrat from California  disagreed…5mos5MO

It is not your body to control, therefore, it is not your choice. If you believe it is wrong, that's fine, but you can;t control other people's choices for their own body just because of your own beliefs.

 @B9RXWMX from California  disagreed…5mos5MO

I believe a woman is entitled to their own beliefs and should not be judged or tried as murderer. Abortions happen for many reasons.

 @B9QNB5C from Ohio  disagreed…5mos5MO

Half true half wrong, it’s a woman’s body and her mind if she chooses to no keep the baby she should not have to be held back from that, but in those cases it is very important it would be allowed

 @B9P656R from Massachusetts  disagreed…5mos5MO

I can see the side of this, but what if you are in a situation where you raped and became pregnant. Would you want to carry that baby. Most likely most women don't.

 @B9SNNN5 from Washington  disagreed…5mos5MO

I think that Abortion is fine, as when it even becomes something you talk about with a doctor, the "baby" is hardly even more than a ball of sludge. no soul, heartbeat, or brain has formed yet, and even if it had, it should be the mother's choice every time.

 @B9PN4NVfrom Montana  disagreed…5mos5MO

I believe the second this said, although abortion is not wrong. Women should be able to pick what happens to their bodys, especially in cases where they can’t take care of a child that they didn’t want.

 @B9P47J9 from Illinois  disagreed…5mos5MO

Abortion is not wrong, anyone can get an abortion if they want to. I greatly agree on the second statement however. In the cases of rape, incest, and harm to the mother, she is allowed to do whatever she pleases with her body.

 @B9P7L5G from Utah  agreed…5mos5MO

You know what you have to do to create life and you should be prepared for things that could happen. Rape and incest are not of someones free will and it can be taxing on sooner and extremely traumatic no one should be forced to have to endure pregnancy after that. if it is dangerous for mother or baby it is always up to the mother and doctors to decide what is best.

 @B9P4VC3 from Alabama  agreed…5mos5MO

I agree with this statement because things happen and sometimes it's out of the person's control so they should be able to abort, but if it was in their control they should of took the precautions to prevent that from happening if you didn't want it to.

 @B9P6T9SNo Labels from Virginia  agreed…5mos5MO

I believe that all human life has value and that abortion is generally wrong. However, I think there should be exceptions in cases of rape, incest, or serious risk to the mother’s health. In these situations, allowing abortion can be the most compassionate option for protecting both the mother and, in some cases, the unborn child from further suffering.

 @B9PR2T7 from Kansas  disagreed…5mos5MO

Abortion is a right, out earth is over run and over populated and if someone doesn't want to bring more life into an overpopulated world then more power to them

 @B9SDMGKWomen’s Equality from Georgia  disagreed…5mos5MO

The mother is a person the unborn child is just a fetus and has no connections to the world yet and 9 months of pregnancy can and will change the female body forever and not every woman wants that.
