even if they are not from America as long as they are a U.S citizen I think they have the right to vote.

 @BBBGP7N from Virginia  agreed…4mos4MO

I agree with the idea, but no the premise. I Don't think foreign governments are swinging the vote enough to make that matter, it's more like if you do not live in the United States as a citizen, then you do not get to decide how the livelihood of Americans are affected.

 @BBCBJRVPeace and Freedomfrom Maine  agreed…4mos4MO

Voting is a right for citizens, not for non-citizens. Decisions about our government should be made by people who are legally part of this country. Allowing non-citizens to vote weakens election integrity and opens the door to outside influence and abuse. Protecting our elections and our sovereignty must come first.

 @BBC4QX7Peace and Freedom from Washington  agreed…4mos4MO

completely agree. only people that live here and will be a part of the results should be alowed to vote

 @BBBWW44 from Louisiana  agreed…4mos4MO

Correct. Voting is for citizens to help control how they want their community to function. If someone is not from or residing in an area why should they be able to vote. Why would they even want to vote when it doesn’t affect them unless to troll someone’s government.

 @BBC7D77Democrat from California  agreed…4mos4MO

True. Non citizens aren’t truly part of the country so I don’t see why they should be able to make large impactful decisions on large scale country wide choices. Local government stuff in a town or city is a whole other conversation, and I sway to the opposite direction when speaking about local.

 @BBBML5W  from California  agreed…4mos4MO

Agreed. But foreigners are already unable to vote. Districting is an issue though. Only U.S. citizens should be represented in government. In other words, just because a certain area has more undocumented immigrants doesn’t mean they should get more seats in government.

 @BBBTKGV from Pennsylvania  agreed…4mos4MO

Adding your perspective can strengthen the discussion and may encourage others to express their views as well. Open dialogue often helps people feel more confident about speaking up and contributing thoughtfully to important conversations.

 @BBBT9TFRepublican from Illinois  agreed…4mos4MO

I think that anyone who doesn't have citizen ship shouldn't be given any tights that the us citizen gets.

 @BBC56XK from Virginia  agreed…4mos4MO

Seeing as illegal immigrants and foreigners are not American, they should not have to same rights as legal American citizens

 @BBBYWQ8 from Wisconsin  agreed…4mos4MO

Illegal immigrants and people without ID's should not be able to vote at all. The government also should not intervene with other elections.

 @BBC5PFV from Alabama  agreed…4mos4MO

I agree, people without the proper documentation should not be allowed to vote in any political matters in the US.

 @BBBMKM6 from Florida  agreed…4mos4MO

Only citizens should be allowed to vote, and verification in the form of voter ID should be required in all states.

 @BBBXGY8from PR  disagreed…4mos4MO

yet those we call asylum seekers and those fleeing from dangerous countries who we have taken in, they get no say in how their protectors might turn against them and be deported for having an accent. spies are the least of our worries, the trump Epstein files are very well known throughout the world at this point and all the government does is not behind closed doors, but is broadcasted to the whole country. but for voting, just do a very quick background check with the UN's system. anyways, i dont care for much else than if religion is worth it. bye <3

 @BBBWJC9 from Texas  disagreed…4mos4MO

The government can do background checks on the people trying to register to vote and if they come from nations that we don't have a good relationship with. The government could not let them register to vote and make sure they're not government spies.

 @BBBWF4R from Texas  disagreed…4mos4MO

Because most of foreign people are really affected by citizens decisions and I feel they should have the right to give their opinion too

 @BBBVV24Women’s Equality from Illinois  disagreed…4mos4MO

I believe that certain people that are not citizens should be given the chance to vote, but there should be certain requirements such as living in the U.S for more than 15 years. As these requirements can help the government make sure not just random people are voting.

 @BBBTKS9 from Texas  disagreed…4mos4MO

It don't mater if they are not citizens. No one in the US is a full american anyway, we was so much because of immgrent that the citizens of the US don't do and want to do.

 @BBBT5SB from Texas  disagreed…4mos4MO

If their not a citizen they would provide you going to the military to get a green card and fight yet sacrifice their life for it.

 @BBBRRDP from North Carolina  disagreed…4mos4MO

They have the right to vote because if they there here for a better life they would have a right to vote

 @BBC3Z7W  from Pennsylvania  disagreed…4mos4MO

If someone is documented and legal in the U.S. and has resided in the country for the required number of years, then I do not see a problem with them voting. If they have been in the country for so long already, they wouldn't do anything now.

 @BBBY2XF from California  disagreed…4mos4MO

Even if they are spies in the end what harm will they bring to us? I believe that we should have to show our ID before we vote, as well as providing evidence of how long they have been living in the U.S.

 @BBBQ9VFfrom Maine  disagreed…4mos4MO

This is a hypothetical threat that maybe doesn’t even exist. Besides, one could also install a law that the people need to live in the US for a certain period of time which would dismantle your argument. Either way, it is important that people can decide how the country they live in is governed - having a choice shouldn’t depend on whether or not you are a US citizen.

 @BBBPHFV from Maryland  disagreed…4mos4MO

Anyone who has to withstand the state of our country’s society, economy, and political space should be allowed to have a say, an opportunity to vote, on the powers that will impact their life and the lives of their loved ones.

 @BBBMZG8 from Nebraska  disagreed…4mos4MO

If they consistently live inside the US borders, they are required to follow our laws and are afforded all of the rights and liberties offered here. Therefore, they should get a say in who belongs in office to make these decisions. If we are worried about spies, we can just ensure that individuals have lived in the country for a certain amount of time. Perhaps 5 years?

 @BBBMSTWProgressive from Colorado  disagreed…4mos4MO

Everyone has the right to be an American citizen, as proven from our long history of immigration. And to ‘tip the vote’ would take thousands of people, which just isn’t realistic for a foreign government to do.

 @BBBM26D from Texas  disagreed…4mos4MO

Foreners make this country our country , us was built on stolen land and the people that actually create culture comes from immigrants so giving them the chance to vote is one thing we can do as the United States.

 @BBCRNW2 from Kansas  disagreed…4mos4MO

Even though they are not citizens, they still should have the right because the person whom people are voting for might have bad intentions, and they want the chance to not vote for them because they are paying taxes and follow the same laws as people who can vote

 @BBC8W3M  from Utah  disagreed…4mos4MO

Lots of foreigners make a living here in the united states i say if they pay taxes and work like the rest of us they should have the right to vote.

 @BBC8NRY  from California  disagreed…4mos4MO

The majority of immigrants in America are not criminals or spies, but are rather just regular people trying to make a better life for themselves. When they are in America, they are directly affected by its policies in many aspects of their lives, so they should also get the chance to vote. Rather than criminalizing people for simply entering our country, reform the immigration process to ensure immigrants are safe, and additionally aren't forced to enter illegally by the strenuous process.

 @BBC7SJ8 from Arizona  disagreed…4mos4MO

If the person is a resident of the United States and has been for over aa year, than yes, they should be able to vote on the country or states legislation or officials.

 @BBC48YP  from Utah  disagreed…4mos4MO

I don't know but if we are a fair country we don't control people and their thoughts but its not really my choice i'm just happy that I'm living in this place that I can have equal rights with others and maybe they should feel the same way too??

 @BBC45BT from Utah  disagreed…4mos4MO

They're still humans and without any proof of them being a spy and not allowing them to be a citizen is cruel.

 @BBBYXYYWomen’s Equality from Utah  disagreed…4mos4MO

We should let them vote because like us, they are people too, and then whoever is running for president can get more votes.

 @BBBH3GM from Michigan  disagreed…4mos4MO

it doesn't really matter to me if they can vote in our country or not but either side of politics could say that about foreigners and either way their votes means just as much as ours most of them know as much or less about the people running in our country than we do their votes wont "tip" the vote it'll just make a bigger impact on who's elected

 @BBBWL64Republican from Texas  agreed…4mos4MO

I agree I believe that if you are a foreigner or an illegal immigrant why should we allow them to vote if you aren't a us citizen and have proof then you can vote but if you aren't then you cant

 @BBC5CHS from Texas  agreed…4mos4MO

I agree. If your not a legal citizen of a country you should not have a stance on who the president should be.

  @Charlotte-yeeDemocrat from Pennsylvania  agreed…4mos4MO

illegal immigrants should not be allowed to vote because voting is a privilege and they should fully commit to the country and its laws before being able help shape its future
