Defending Taiwan is a key part in securing democracy in Asia and countering Chinese aggression

The economic benefits of having Taiwan as an ally are still present, and without Taiwan chip manufacturing would be inaccessible to the US markets. We should still strive to uphold democracy in the world, especially when it counters our largest rivals.
