No, and the government should pass a national “stand your ground” law
I see this point of view of keeping people safe
I do think we need the right to bear arms in America, take into consideration people breaking into your house to harm your family. For self defense we need guns.

No, studies have shown that the presence of a firearm in the house is more likely to result in a fatality either from a misfire, mistake, or in the heat of the moment than when a firearm was not present in the home. Also, there are other weapons that could be used to protect yourself if someone broke into your house, which is already very rare. Also, having stricter gun laws would make it harder for criminals to get them, which would again lower your need to bear arms to protect yourself.
