I disagree; if illegal immigrants and non-legal citizens still pay taxes, they should have the right to live here.
If someone is paying their hard-earned money to the government and they're still not allowed to vote, it's unjust. Numerous low-class immigrants can barely make a living, let alone receive benefits. If they're paying for our communities and contributing to our government, they should be able to vote for legislation.

While paying taxes and contributing to a community are important, voting rights have traditionally been tied to citizenship rather than tax payments alone. Many people who pay taxes, such as minors under 18, are still not allowed to vote because voting is connected to legal citizenship and the responsibilities that come with it. Supporters of this view argue that immigrants who want voting rights should pursue the legal process of becoming citizens. They believe citizenship ensures a shared commitment to the country's laws, government, and civic responsibilities, while still allowing non-citizens to live and work in the United States.
