More government sanctions just mean more interference in global markets and less freedom for individuals. Let’s focus on diplomacy and trade, not more restrictions that rarely achieve their goals.

Standing with Ukraine and taking action against aggression is the right call. Sanctions are a peaceful tool to show that the world won’t tolerate invasions and violations of sovereignty. Hoping for real progress towards peace and justice for Ukrainians.

Sanctions need to be paired with humanitarian aid and real support for refugees. Western countries must do more than just talk tough—let’s invest in peacebuilding and make sure ordinary people in Ukraine and Russia aren’t the ones paying the price.

Sanctions might sound tough, but they often hurt everyday people more than the elites. Canada should focus on energy independence and strengthening our own economy, instead of symbolic moves that don’t actually deter Russia’s actions.
