No, instead of regulating private insurance companies, the government should compete with them via public option.

 @B4ZM74VConstitution from Utah  answered…5mos5MO

I feel like there should be middle ground where ACA if fine at baseline for those who need it, but the market should be open for people/insurers to compete in.

 @B4XDCV4 from Utah  answered…5mos5MO

Tying into my last response after looking into it, it would only cost around 500 billion more than we already pay to just switch over to a single payer system.

 @B49SM46 from Utah  answered…6mos6MO

No, people should not give up their hard earned money for taxes in order to pay for other peoples health care

 @B3QNPSX from Utah  answered…7mos7MO

No, but I do support the parts involving disabilities and newer insurance rules, requirements, and regulations.

 @B34XG88 from Utah  answered…7mos7MO

I think that idea of it is great, but for anyone that doesn't use Obamacare then it sky rockets the price

 @9ZQ74RJ from Utah  answered…10mos10MO

I support everything, but the fine on uninsured people. I also think that it would be good to allow consumers to choose providers and pharmaceuticals from other countries.

 @9YN7WJD from Utah  answered…11mos11MO

Need to check how many people are uninsured without Obamacare and how much this has costed the taxpayers' money.

 @9Y25BPXLibertarian from Utah  answered…11mos11MO

No, there should never be a fine for not having health insurance unless health insurance is free. Why require a fee for not having enough money to pay for health insurance?

 @9WDJ97T from Utah  answered…11mos11MO

No- what the government needs to do is reign in the COST of healthcare to begin with. That is the problem. If they just continue subsidizing, then the initial cost can continue to rise. It needs to be capped and pulled back from the start. Health coverage then would not need to be so massive as it is today.

 @9W72MZ4 from Utah  answered…11mos11MO

I believe there needs to be some reform but do not believe the affordable care act is the right choice.

 @9VRKCB2 from Utah  answered…12mos12MO

No, repeal Patient Protection Affordable Care Act. Open the healthcare industry to competition and innovation to improve healthcare quality and reduce healthcare costs.

 @jwakleyIndependent  from Utah  answered…12mos12MO

Yes, but a public Medicare option as an alternative choice to private insurance would be even better

 @9VLY2R6 from Utah  answered…12mos12MO

I believe the way healthcare works should be completely redesigned to prevent near monopolies such as United Healthcare. The system could look like a single payer system or the new system could fundamentally change what insurance companies are allowed to do.

 @9V7NZ7L from Utah  answered…12mos12MO

Government should force transparency and reduce costs or go to single payer system. Healthcare costs are outrageous.

 @9TRSXXQ from Utah  answered…1yr1Y

No, it didn’t do what it intended and cost entrepreneurs too much money. Single payer would be better.

 @9TL62L8 from Utah  answered…1yr1Y

Yes and mandate the that healthcare providers limit the markup on a product or service to limit the cost. Not allow 5000% markup and in-place have a 100% markup.

 @9T4LVL3 from Utah  answered…1yr1Y

No, prohibit insurance providers from b discriminating against preexisting conditions and pass laws to prevent collusion between insurance, pharmaceutical and medical companies.

 @9SXDWFS from Utah  answered…1yr1Y

Yes I think that it is a good idea but it wasn’t executed properly because health care prices are still a major problem and needs to be fixed

 @9SRBDV3  from Utah  answered…1yr1Y

I think the government should help keep prices down in the healthcare system and make them more affordable for normal people but they should not be in charge of creating plans and subsidizing insurance.

 @9SPXTRH from Utah  answered…1yr1Y

No, I do not support any federal healthcare system that sustains health insurance systems. We should be either free market or single payer.

 @9SMD6M8  from Utah  answered…1yr1Y

Coverage for older children is helpful. Coverage for pre-existing conditions is helpful. Single payer is better. Cost transparency is essential!

 @9S755JG from Utah  answered…1yr1Y

No. ACA made the system more expensive with no control of cost. It also made things significantly more expensive for young adults.

 @9QQKT83 from Utah  answered…1yr1Y

No, insurance is a joke. This doesn't fix the problem it just gives more money to insurance companies making them more profitable while things get worse for most

 @9PY2Z33 from Utah  answered…1yr1Y

To some degree. I believe healthcare should be more accessible but I do not agree that it should be provided at the cost of others

 @9MNK2RH from Utah  answered…1yr1Y

He sold the Democratic Party to big pharmaceutical corporations. Socialized healthcare is literally the easiest social program there is. I don’t understand how we can’t accomplish a system that forces good science and competition while providing healthcare for the poor disabled and elderly. Most countries are capable of that.

 @9LXF9R6Constitution from Utah  answered…1yr1Y

I think that while I wouldn't mind having some of my money go to help other people who really really need it, I wouldn't want a huge tax increase to pay for other people, and so if the money just came from "hey we have some from your monthly payment we will keep anyway" then yes, you can use it toward someone else. However, I think it is important to say that I think over-medicalization is a big issue and that many treatments are just to control symptoms rather than cure the problem, which I think should be changed so that people could save money and live healthier lives.

 @9KKHH7R from Utah  answered…2yrs2Y

I like that everyone has healthcare, but I do not want to pay for someone elses. Halthcare should be free considering to have a country you have to have healthy people, my well being should not cost me

 @9HNK5ZY from Utah  answered…2yrs2Y

Only certain parts. Affordability of the system is still a problem, to be solved structurally, not buy wealth redistribution.

 @9HHL4RCIndependent from Utah  answered…2yrs2Y

i think its dumb how taxpayers are now obligated to play other peoples medical debts. the medical systems should be like germany or the united kindom.

 @9HCSM44 from Utah  answered…2yrs2Y

I think that people should have access to it but they should still have to pay some or else they become reliable on it.

 @9H3RG45 from Utah  answered…2yrs2Y

Healthcare needs to be affordable, but the government has not shown it has done a good job of helping health care problems.

 @9FDKMRY from Utah  answered…2yrs2Y

 @9F7YHHT from Utah  answered…2yrs2Y

There are elements that work well with our current system, but I think there is no reason that healthcare should cost so much. There needs to be a new system altogether

 @9DDBH9X from Utah  answered…2yrs2Y

Everyone should have access to basic health care. Such as antibiotics and general care.

 @8GNYD22 from Utah  answered…5yrs5Y

Take healthcare out of "for profit" space, and treat hospitals/clinics like fire departments, and pharma and research like NASA, publicly funded and open source.

 @8GMNW9B from Utah  answered…5yrs5Y

Yes, I support a majority of the plan but not all aspects. Also allow consumers to choose providers and import pharmaceuticals from other countries

 @8GKKFNGIndependent from Utah  answered…5yrs5Y

Some aspects are well put together but there are currently too many downsides.

 @8GHPL67 from Utah  answered…5yrs5Y

 @9FZQXM6 from Utah  answered…2yrs2Y

Ban healthcare "networks", co-insurance, and remove all access to medical information by insurance companies. Provide a means for the insurance company to report suspected fraud, but DO NOT allow them to do ANYTHING but pay the bill for the care that is dictated by the doctor. Take insurance out of the medical decision making process!

 @9CHWDGH from Utah  answered…2yrs2Y

 @9B9YH8W from Utah  answered…2yrs2Y

No, Social Programs should be funded at more local levels of government.

 @99ZSGD7Republican from Utah  answered…2yrs2Y

Protection against discrimination for preexisting conditions is great, but competition is worth a try to lower costs.

 @98RS2NC from Utah  answered…3yrs3Y

 @96V6SG6 from Utah  answered…3yrs3Y

Yes, but it should be forced to compete with private insurance while medical standards are deregulated to return to a free market structure with government funding primarily for families in need.

 @96NPPHNLibertarian from Utah  answered…3yrs3Y

No, but basic healthcare should be affordable for everyone. Limit amount medical care can cost without destroying incentive to develop new medical technology technology

 @96M4ZJB from Utah  answered…3yrs3Y

yes because some people need the help but the tax payer that actually need it can't get it

 @96FMZP3Workers from Utah  answered…3yrs3Y

Yes, Healthcare is a right witch we all should live health live without the fear a medical bills that we can't the pay. Also we shouldn't trust Insurance companies with our lives and that goes for the government as well

 @96BSCGV from Utah  answered…3yrs3Y

 @96566YTRepublican from Utah  answered…3yrs3Y

No, the government should put caps on medications (i.e. insulin), but not have control over healthcare.

 @96566YTRepublican from Utah  answered…3yrs3Y

The government should put price caps on medications that are necessary (i.e. insulin) but not make it so they have super significant regulatory powers.

 @9629L99 from Utah  answered…3yrs3Y

only for accidents. if it was your own stupid choices you should have to pay to fix them

 @95ZSFZT from Utah  answered…3yrs3Y

 @9554SW5Republican from Utah  answered…3yrs3Y

health care should be free given the fact that sometimes people don't have a choice to go to the hospital.

 @94G2KZF from Utah  answered…3yrs3Y

No but the government should place limits on how much insurance costs and hot much hospitals charge

 @94FF7CR from Utah  answered…3yrs3Y

 @jwakleyIndependent from Utah  answered…3yrs3Y

Yes, and add a “Medicare for All Who Want It” program as a public option on the ACA exchanges

 @jwakleyIndependent from Utah  answered…3yrs3Y

 @93S8GPH from Utah  answered…3yrs3Y

 @937P3L8Transhumanist from Utah  answered…3yrs3Y

Yes, but healthcare shouldn’t be such a heavily debated issue. Let’s make it easier for people to get the help they need when they need it

 @92Y3S49Independent from Utah  answered…3yrs3Y

Regulate the health insurance companies so they can’t jack up the prices.

 @92TK6SC from Utah  answered…3yrs3Y

I do not support a program that fines individuals who have not/cannot afford health care insurance. I do support universal health care.

Obama care is a good thing but the government should not be apart of it.

 @92FMHK8 from Utah  answered…3yrs3Y

No, give everyone tax break on insurance to remove insurance from employer control, allowing more rational free market decisions.

 @92CNQBJ from Utah  answered…3yrs3Y

I do agree that everyone should have some sort of affordable health care but American citizens should not be paying so much tax dollars for it.

 @8ZZL77B from Utah  answered…3yrs3Y

This is pretty 50/50 for me, I support the health care availability but there are still con aspects.

 @8ZWF2S9 from Utah  answered…3yrs3Y

 @8ZSBDGN from Utah  answered…4yrs4Y

Yes and NO- the theory of Obamacare and affordable care coverage is great but the rollout was awful. The healthcare system in general needs to be done in the US and the "money" and profit of peoples illness needs to be taken out of it from insurance and bigpharma.

 @8ZRBZGJ from Utah  answered…4yrs4Y

 @8ZHYRPG from Utah  answered…4yrs4Y

I agree with some, for those who need it, but don’t know enough for an educated opinion.
