Yes, but only for life threatening emergencies or infectious diseases, and then all illegal aliens should be deported to the southern coastal waters of Cuba, via rubber rafts.

@5XYZHNJDemocratfrom Virginia  answered…1mo

YES, WE ARE THE RICHEST COUNTRY ON EARTH..... our insurance companies and hospitals are making BILLIONS!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

@5R9FKDCGreenfrom Minnesota  answered…1mo

Illegal immigrants should receive required medical treatment to prevent and/or cure communicable diseases with which they are afflicted. The threat of deportation should not be in play, with the idea that sick people will be willing to get treatment if they feel "safe." Illegal immigrants should not be issued driver's licenses, nor should they be permitted to vote. Employers who willingly and knowingly hire illegal immigrants should be heavily fined. Employers who do not file tax info on any and all employees should also be heavily fined. This is cheating in my mind and should not be tolerated. No jobs, no possibility of "under the table" employment will quickly resolve the immigration problem. Americans seem to always want to get stuff "for cheap." This mentality is the problem.

@5QZ28HBDemocratfrom Ohio  answered…1mo

It depends on who you're referring to? Caucasian/British immigrants were NOT here 1st! Anyone living in America should pay taxes.

@5SLGN3GDemocratfrom Maryland  answered…1mo

get real - illegal is merely a Congressional whim - they could legalize them in a day if they
so chose. "My" immigrants got help from Squanto in Plymouth. We should be so mean
as to let humans suffer when we have plenty of resources to prevent it?

@5SK9C2SLibertarianfrom New York  answered…1mo

No but the Hippocratic oath doesn't allow for a patient to be turned away. Treat the the emergency and deport the patient afterward

@5YBMRSSRepublicanfrom Ohio  answered…1mo

as an American citizen that DOES NOT have medical coverage why would I support immigrants having what I don't due to Obamacare guidelines

@5STFTTBDemocratfrom California  answered…1mo

Yes, If we deny basic and/or emergency health services to people residing or visiting in this country, then we are all at risk for infectious diseases, declining standards for the poor. We'll eventually end up living behind walls like in Mexico City, with barbed wire on the top to keep out the poor, needy and people who turn to crime, thievery, etc. because they have no other options. It's ridiculous that we aren't offering healthcare to all human beings - when the Koch brothers and Wall Street can rob us blind and rape our financial system --- shameful!

@5SJ4C9GRepublicanfrom Texas  answered…1mo

Yes, If They Are In The United States To Better Themselves Not Be In The U.S To Cause Trouble

@5R7S4JRDemocratfrom California  answered…1mo

@5R3XNJ5Democratfrom Washington  answered…1mo

i think they should because it will allow them to build a life or as they say "The American Dream".

@5R82TKLRepublicanfrom Iowa  answered…1mo

They should get NOTHING but a ticket back home....
We have VETERANS dying because THEY can't GET any healthcare, they're HOMELESS, and JOBLESS, but OBAMA is giving the ILLEGALS FREE DENTAL, HEALTH, MEDICAL, FREE FOOD, FREE MONEY, FREE OR SUBSIDISED HOUSING, HEATING ASSISTANCE, and whatever the hell ELSE he can think of, while OUR CITIZENS GET NOTHING.........
Social Security & disability recipients got NO INCREASE this year, most likely because OBAMA GAVE OUR MONEY TO ALL THE ILLEGALS........

@5R4G937Libertarianfrom New York  answered…1mo

No, but they should be allowed to purchase private healthcare provided that they have a visa or green card (otherwise, deport them).

@5TPQYL9Republicanfrom Kansas  answered…1mo

No and deport all immigrants to Guantanamo Bay to undergo torture to find out everything they know.

@5XP9BGJDemocratfrom North Carolina  answered…1mo

Yes, as long as they have to pay taxes, and are deported after tretment

@5XY2NHTDemocratfrom California  answered…1mo

Life threatening health care should be given. They should have fingerprints taken as part of the process. Then given a path to citizenship. If path is not started then next time health care is needed it will be given followed by work program to pay for previous costs. If path to citizenship is not followed a 3rd time immediate deportation and 10 year ban on citizen process.

@5TMQQNRDemocratfrom Pennsylvania  answered…1mo

I don't think at this point they deserve anything from our country they get enough....even more than people born as Americans they come and take our jobs they seem to make more money than us as far as I am concerned they need to get out and go back to where they came from

@5SL85KCDemocratfrom California  answered…1mo

Gov has been a co-conspirator to illegal immigration. For years, when it was beneficial to business in this country, illegal immigration was not dealt with, and laws and penalties on the books were not enforced. Current illegals in residence should be allowed to stay if employed, and paying taxes, and actively seeking nationalization. Future illegals should be dealt with as allowed by law.

@5T5DJB3Republicanfrom Illinois  answered…1mo

This is insane. How can you use illegal and benefits in same sentence? Someone should not become a citizen just because they gave birth here. Mexico for sure does not allow this, and the rest of the world with exception for two other countries. This way of taxing others to pay for such expenses is insane.

@5QYKJ74Constitutionfrom Virginia  answered…1mo

Illegal aliens or if you must "immigrants", have broken our laws of entry, and should be eligible for nothing. that said, if there is an emergency situation /or they have an infectious disease, when they arrive yes by all means let them get treated at govt expense. If they have been here over three months, they should seek private insurance like the rest of us. They have had time. If they seek govt assistance for any reason, they should be detained and turned over to ICE and deported as soon as possible. If there is an "anchor baby", new born, it goes back to the country the mother came

@5R42YXBRepublicanfrom Florida  answered…1mo

Absolutely not. Illegal Aliens are not immigrants!! They have illegally invaded my country.

@9D6GLQ3Veteran from California answered…1mo

This question unhelpfully combines what should be two separate questions: 1) "How should illegal immigrants be handled?" and 2) "What is an appropriate system for healthcare in the United States?" Charitable organizations and private citizens who want to assist with providing healthcare to illegal immigrants should not be prevented from doing so. Ideally, healthcare should not be subsidized by the federal government.

@9D65V96Democrat from California answered…1mo

As illegal immigrants, they are not a part of the US government, therefore they should not have access to government sources. However, in such a great, amazing, wonderful country it should not be a problem, anyway. There should be alternative and affordable options, even for illegal immigrants. They may be illegal immigrants in this country, but they are not illegal immigrants on earth.

@9QQ86XPDemocrat from New York answered…8hrs

If they eventually become US Citizens, then Yes. If not, No.

@9QMWSJ3Constitution from Illinois answered…4 days

No, they should be allowed to purchase health care, but should be able to use government subsidized health care if they obtain citizenship through the proper channels.

@9QG85QKDemocrat from Tennessee answered…2wks

Yes if we make the legal process easier to become a citizen.

@9QFVNJFVeteran from North Carolina answered…2wks

Yes, if they pay taxes, and then they should be given the opportunity to apply for a green card.

@9QD6T8LRepublican from Colorado answered…3wks

It depends on what conditions they are in or to help them get on their feet

@9QD3NG6Progressive from Texas answered…3wks

Yes..... How can you deny another human being affordable healthcare? If you are a poor American going to another country, you should also receive affordable healthcare in that country too.

@9QCYNZYWorking Family from Michigan answered…3wks

Yes, if they have a good record for the time they've been in the US. Those same people should also be granted citizenship.
